Please Note that you can't see through the IR Lens , cause all the existing light is blocked out and only IR is let through , and humans can't see IR without special glasses...
So you need to carefully set the setting on the camera manually cool2.gif

Infra filter sounds interesting. No need to modify the camera. Just attached the filter and start shooting. hehe

hey everyone, I've bought a D7000, and noticed there's a few hot pixel on my picture...just wanna ask it that normal?
*
Bro, hot pixel is no good. Is it LCD dead pixel or the photo itself? After u transfer to PC, is the hot pixel still there? If still there, then, u need to sent for remapping services. If LCD stuck/dead pixel, then, the only way is to change the LCD or just ignore it.

Btw, how long u have bought it? If just recently, go back to the shop and request a new set.

Infra-Red Photography...
Either modified your body so that i can capture IR Images also or buy a filter for your lens... which is way cheaper and you can edit it  laugh.gif

Well i dunno much people who do mod their body just for IR
Mostly they just buy IR filters for their lenses , that and would minimize the damage they would go through opening the camera body just taking IR Photography

Vid for Canon...
Couldn't find for Nikon
Sorry Bro~

Bro. When do you think one should upgrade their kit lense?
I bought my DSLR like 1 month ago, and I am thinking to upgrade my kit lens 18-55mm to 50mm f\1.4G?
a lot of people say it's too soon. as I only know DSLR for 1 month, I myself find it kind of true as I saw people carrying their kit lens for 10 months even more.

So I am wondering when is the appropriate time for upgrade the kit lense??
is it when you know aperture, iso and shutter speed?
or anything else??

Whats your budget range?

Actually from my perspective , it depends on the user when it's time to change lens...
I usually use the same lens for a while then grow a bit bored of it , and with thousands of pictures taken with it...
When you know those stuff , it actually improves your photography and the picture will come up more details and wonderful

It also depends on your budget~
Some people just buy with the kit lens and its sufficient with it...

When this questions pop up in your mind, means u r not prepared!! u haven even master ur 18-55mm den wanna spend money again? At least u get some decent photos out of your kit lens den u start to look for other lens, i.e 50mm prime lens, zoom ur kit lens to 50mm and walk around whole day to shoot at this focal length, see how u feel, den u start to think whether primes r suitable for u or not
