Hoya HD is the new version of the Hoya HMC..HD is thinner but is twice the price la though IINM..
*
I see.... so I presume the light transmitting % should be around the same, just the frame of HD is thinner and tougher, the glass also tougher coatings n much easier to clean.

Normal bodies like D90, I heard the AFD version is faster, wat about D300s body? and now the D7000 body, any idea is the G version is faster in D300s body?

I know how to differentiate. His post make me very confusing.
D700 and above focus faster on G
Nope. D90 focus faster with AF-D
*
Focusing speed for AFD type lens only differs with the body's processor n RGB sensor? Is there any difference in the focus motor (i.e btw D90 and D300s) that drives the screw motor of AFD?

Yesterday, I did a comparison btw D7000 and D3000.

Setting: Nikkor 55-200mm 4-5.6G, Focal Length 190mm, ISO 400, 1/2s, f9, +1.0EV, WB:Auto

Can you guys see different?

Spot the difference? The tiger beers initially on the table went to the side table in 2nd pic, and the car parked outside is not there anymore whistling.gif

o.O seems like i prefer the one from D3000 more..
*
Coz the colour is more saturated? U can see D7000 sensor are able to record details in dark areas, ie the small temple located away frm the light source. Juz my 2cents

MBD-11 price is here and surprisingly Shashinki already have ready stock.
*
n Surprisingly it's cheaper den MB-D10, I really wonder why.... both nearly the same, but D11 cheaper, anyhow I'm real happy for the cheaper price, I was expecting around 700+ new release price, this is good news for me wub.gif

I think mainly because the MB-D11 is smaller in side? LOL, or because the MB-D11 different build quality. But I assume it would be weather sealed as well and more similar to MB-D10 instead of MB-D80 (D90's BG very plastic!).
*
Both looks the same, MB-D10 can run with 3 batteries? 1 inside body, 2 in grip? Hope D11 is as solid as D10 whistling.gif

QUOTE(KTCY @ Nov 24 2010, 08:15 AM)

MB-D10 is single batt at the grip 1 more at the body. The same goes to MB-D11.

*

True. Not relevant to him at all laugh.gif
No. Use 1 batt only. MBD-10 can use D3 battery brows.gif
Try plug out and plug in to charger again. Normal problems

Wat is the diff for D3 battery?

Sigma's 50mm more sharp compared to Nikkor's 50mm wide open wub.gif but heavier n 77mm filter is the concern.... wat u guys think, bokeh n suitability for portraits only shot btw 50mm 1.4 n 85mm 1.8D? Which 1 would u pick for DX?

QUOTE(kord @ Nov 24 2010, 08:12 PM)
hi, yup.. i do have a drybox.. i always leave the batt inside the batt grip (ori+3rd party), and then kept the camera inside that drybox.. i guess shud be the same as keeping inside a drybox rite? smile.gif
anyway, i've been using 3rd party batteries as an addition to the original batteries for so long already and they nvr give any problems at all.. i'd used canons before changing to nikon and nvr encounter any problem with battery suddenly depleted.. i guess, it is quite economic (for me)..
*
Any difference in performance btw the ori n 3rd party battery? The battery grip also got diff btw ori Nikon n 3rd party (Phottix those)?

I would go for 50mm F/1.4 for DX, 85mm feels really far on DX for me, and the 1.8D got lousy bokeh when u stop down  laugh.gif (At big aperture it's fine, like around F/2 )
*
I saw u wanna sell ur Sigma 50mm, so u still selling it?? lol..... it is such a nice lens rite

70300 more useful for panning tongue.gif. More range. Aperture doesn't really matter since you will be shooting at like 1/60 or so. Aperture would be hovering around f/9~f/22.
*
Lol.... but 70-200 can do wonders indoor and portraits shooting, n the VRII really rocks handheld low light....
