Forget the senior players and have a longer term vision. It isn't about magically transforming them into world beaters. It's about exposing the younger lads to more games so that they may develop. What's the point in fielding the seniors? They aren't going to get any better as players.
*
agreed. even among malaysian football fans there are a lot of people who are easy to forget..

how after 2007 debacle, the words "youth development" keep be hurled around..

now in 2010, they want to revert back to the 'senior' route after some of them showed excellent performance in a importless- league..

so easy to get swayed away from the cause..

RG has create some sort of working radio here.. what we need is further tuning... not to dismantle and replace everything with yet another set of previously broken hi-fi..

if it still not broken, dont fix it...

Full time: 2-2. Should be this score lar I think cause I came 10 mins late.

Since I'm not familiar with Selangor players apart from Amri Yahyah, I have no idea which of them scored.

As for Malaysia, Safee Sali scored the 1st? I was playing with my mobile that time.  blush.gif  2nd one was by one of the Indian boys. Not sure which is which. Guru I guess?

Anyway, some say it's Muslim & Kunalan.

[attachmentid=1906808]

It's pouring during the last 10 minutes.
*
hehehe.. Malaysian boys were schooled by slenagor in the first half.. everyone was static and nothing works...

i dont think muslim played tonite... i spotted azmi muslim, ahmad muslim, nor shahrul and someone else in their polo shirts out side the stadium just before kickoff...

i thing faizal abu bakar and guru (no 11) scored.. kunalan no 16...

at the current injury rate.. we are lucky if we can field any centre back at all.... doh.gif

there are rumours that ahmad muslim is also injured right now... add to azmi, sabree, aidil, nasriq and norhafiz zamani, 6 of our first back four is wiped out...

man .... to say that RG is now rclxub.gif is an understatement...

im not recommended that rajagobal brings all senior player and forget all young player. what i mean is combine those few great senior player who has played in international level with bunch of young player.  i've seen those young player played in asian games. they werent so great either.
*
yap... by comparison, the slovakian Harimau MUda is not really good. No wonder they mostly get pawned over there at Slovakia..

But the seniors have their issues also... Even if they performed well with their state coach in the league, doesnt mean they will go that extra mile when play with another coach in the national team..

shoot, no Indra.

well... this type of tournament usually need year long preparation for mental and physical...

to be pulled out of your early pre-season preparation with a 3 days notice to go fight in a regional level international tournament where you will get bashed without due consideration of any predicament you faced in the likely event you lose or even if you win ..... is not really desirable situation...

the first thing that cross Indra's mind propably is to claim "unfit".

seeing our young defenders have to bear the responsibility of marking a 35-goal-a-season Uruguayan and an Ajax Amsterdam Youth product Dutch striker really make me feel like waiting to be sen to the gallows the whole day today...

5 and a half hours before kickoff and i cant hardly breath properly.

that was abysmall...

as a malaysian national team fan, i would like to apologize to all malaysian out there...

there no excuse... we are simply blown apart...

RG really took his eye of the ball... the line up he set up today is really out of his character..

before this.. rain or shine.. he always sticks with safiq-amar/guru...

why oh why he start with safiq-amri.... when the focus should be to protect the crippled defense...

last minute call ups razman and amri backfired miserably..

muslim has exhausted all his credit earned during the Sea Games.. the same for Sharbinee as well...

all our back 4 plus goalkeepers are a poor excuse for a defenders...

He was a captain at Asian Cup. Quite awkward since Amri is Safiq captain at Selangor sweat.gif

Should only play with 1 winger which is Kunalan. Amirulhadi no function at the right wing. Then Amri can play his attacking midfielder role and Gurusamy can play as anchor to mark that Indon import player
*
my thought also...

our preseveerence in previous tough encounters are due to diciplined core of Safiq-Amar/Guru combined with centreback of Aidil-Nasriq.....

this line up left Safiq all alone chasing shadows...

the only positive that came out from this game is we know we are better than this... but the Thais and the Laos propably did not know that... so we can pull a suprise...

can't blame the defense as they were the best that RG have in his hands.
*
agreed with that also... but the gap between the best we have dan the best we need to be is really wide... the youngster show nothing to make us optimistic about the future..

This is truth, no doubt.

true. we are not at our best with the makeshift defense. But indonesia really pounce on it... we have no answer to Okto on the right.. man of the match to me..

Razman the right back and Amri were pluck out from pre season training for this match and clearly not match fit for international level...

Trust me guys, as a Selangor fan, I can tell you that Amri can play very badly for the whole game, and yet manage to score  in that game.

I like that he loves to do funny stuff like shoot 40-50 yards grounder
*
i can attest to that... he can do that if he half fit or fully fit...

but the problem is with him still in early pre-season fitness right now, he cannot defend or do other tactical responsibilities...

if we want to use him, we must use a tactic where he can drift in a free role..

or an impact second half substitute..

not as a starting pure central midfielder..

why malaysia use the yellow color on their jersey?

is there any meaning of it?
*
countries with kings usually use royal colour as their sporting symbol..

eg : Dutch (orange), Japan (blue).. and Malaysia (yellow).

Indonesia play better football!! i gonna get their jersey!!!
*
definately true.. although 5-1 scoreline is quite flattering...

a 3-1 would be a much better reflection of their superiority.

our young and last-minute patch defense have no answers to okto, irfan and gonzalez..

if we win against thai and draw against laos, i don't think it will be enough for us to advance to semi-final since goal margin is not on our side (unless we can trash thai 5-0 doh.gif ). so, we must win both the match
*
actually we still can qualify by beating and drawing with any of the thais and Laos.. provided Indo helps us by beating both of them as well...

so my target is a draw with Thai and a win over Laos with Indo beating thai on final day..

i really not expecting our boys to win vs Indonesia or Thailand.

But their performance vs Indonesia was so abysmall, that nothing less than a win vs Thailand is able to to recover thier worth..

oo.. i am one in those mode before big do or die match that make me cannot breath..

Just out of curiosity - which would you prefer - a great, spirited and confident performance from the team but losing or drawing unluckily, or another drab performance but scoring a lucky 1-0 win in injury time? :-)
*
i'd take an 1-0 win even if our GK made 19 lucky savees with his face dan need 3 deflection for us to score the goal..

as i expected really... Thailand has more pace and better ball possesion ability than us...

so the best result for us is 0-0 at halftime..

as the game wear on, the game stronghold by the thais will loose on and we can only start to play in the second half..

if we score first in the first half, we will only repeat what happened against Indonesia...

still optimistic for d second half.our defense look better.but d left side too exposed.kuna should drop down as well to help asra.
*
right now Khairul Fahmi still managed to answer all those questions... but my heart stopped a beat each time questions were posed to both Harimau Muda centerbacks ...

but the left side is really exposed... is Sabree Abu's injury still that bad.. we need him to replace Asrar..
