Let us all be brave and humble enough to admit the following, so our fellow Lancer brothers and Anti-Proton friends can have a broad smile on their faces again. We know Inspira brought a lot of pain on you, its time to end it all.
So here goes, we are paying 25% cheaper for a copycat Lancer, so in return, we get: 1. A Cheap brand 2. Cheap dashboard 3. Cheap doors 4. Cheap HU 5. Cheap leather 6. Cheap plastics 7. Cheap bumper design 8. Cheap rims 9. Cheap after sales 10. Cheap service centers 11. Cheap QC 12. Cheap ??? (you may add if I left out anything) After reading all these, please enjoy the following music. Uncle Kracker - Smile http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PP_apsbNev8 Smile more before this thread becomes a war zone.. This post has been edited by SothysSaleShop: Nov 25 2010, 03:07 PM |

No matter how desperate I am, I wont take the showroom unit unless it was offered to me on the day it arrived. Guess they dont want to sell the showroom unit at a cheaper price in the future. Remember we are paying full price for the car so expect a brand new unmolested car.

The door issue created a huge debate, which I myself dont really understand what was it about. Its down to own preference on what you like, some have let the tiger badge affected their feelings, cant blame them.

What's the reason given for not releasing the cars? No wonder my SA told me to take the showroom car, so there is a story behind it, what about 1.8 models?

I agree 100%, so now with the new CEO on board, we shall see if there is any improvements, give them another 2-3 years and see the new models are of good value, design and quality or not.
Confession: I won't be buying this Inpsira if its not a copy of the Lancer, if Proton makes a new waja model, I will be in forte thread now. QUOTE(FrostLance @ Nov 26 2010, 02:23 AM) but honestly there is 1 thing i hate about proton is their double standard towards own malaysians la.. Who says proton cannot have good QC or good quality.. Their export model cars are pretty damn good, The QC are better then their local market counterpart, got better soundproofing etc etc (which are absent on local models due to cost cutting) and they even sell at cheaper price some more overseas!!! WTF la.. Own ppl/citizen they dont jaga too well.. this is one of those things i really damn hate bout proton le.. if the cronyism is absent then proton could really be something |

I was following forte when it was about to be launched, so tempting at first. But after I heard about new waja based on the Lancer mid of 2009, I decided to wait it out as I was not in a hurry to upgrade my waja yet. I was also concern about the resale value and spare parts cost & availability for the forte. But this Inspira I believe will serve me well from A to B without much fuss.

For the simple and obvious reasons many and myself have stated before so I will not repeat it again, but the other deciding factor is my other half, I asked her to compare both Lancer and Forte looks and she didnt even bother to give another glance at the car, while Lancer, she took the initiative to ask me what car is that and she really liked the design, So Proton has it and cheaper, so its clear cut choice for us.
The cons about Inspira is that it didnt have the traction control which forte has, other than that I am very happy with what Inspira is offering to me, a family car look, as I dont intend to race or be ah beng as some put it, QUOTE(froggy982 @ Nov 26 2010, 09:09 AM) |

In case you didnt know, they just copy and paste the Lancer. Slight modification. Yeah I agree they should sell lower, like RM60k, then we can save 50%.
