I agree with you, the logo now looks cool and matches the color. Booked a 2.0 white like yours. Looking at yours is like looking at mine. Happy yet sad because it has yet to arrive. vmad.gif

No, not going to change for me. This has been discussed before, most if not all will stick to Proton. Those may change I think if they convert to evo x bodykit. If stock car, I think better just leave it as it is, If need to buy the mitsubishi logo I am sure accessories shop will have it

QUOTE(Thrust @ Nov 20 2010, 08:09 AM)
So when are you guys changing the PROTON emblem to a Mitsubishi emblem? Btw, where to get one?

That's why no point changing it from the beginning. Even engine cover has Proton logo. So best leave it and spend the money else where. Worry less about it and enjoy the ride more. That's what I will do.

Regarding the doors, let me share my experience. I am too used to my Waja's door, just push slightly it will slam shut by itself. So when I tested the car, i have the problem of closing the doors too like you said,I also have the exact same experience when I tested the Peugeot 3008. As far as I know, the reason the door does not close completely unless you slam it because of safety reason, it wont close completely unless you really wanted to close it (ie slamming it hard) I think this is a plus feature to have and need some getting used to.

QUOTE(aichiban @ Nov 20 2010, 06:54 PM)
Tested the 2.0P
The drive was a pleasure. The handling is great.
But there is one major concern.

This is something that is very apparent even among other units in different showrooms I went. Something that doesnt exist in the Mitsu counterpart.

The freaking doors!!!
You need to slam or semi slam the doors for them to be closed properly. Other makes only need a lil push and the door will be closed.
Every single time I close the door, I will feel very frust.
How?

I think we shouldn't be worked up over this statement. Our friend just stated what he saw and shared with us, no harm done from my view. Probably someone forgot to let go the handbrakes while pressing the accelerator? or maybe something is really wrong with the car and its being serviced? As long as its not your car having the problem, right? icon_rolleyes.gif

So you own a Lancer? So are you selling 2nd hand stuffs or new? Or you are planning to dismantle your Lancer to become spare parts for Inspira? Please clarify, what you are saying over here is not clear.

People are jumping on the slightest chance to have a go at Proton and Inspira - nothing new here. They have basically covered all defects/problems a car can have even before the car is delivered and on the road. So when the defects or problems were reported in the future, they will again jump on the chance to say "Remember? I've told you so!" So guys let it be. Life will continue, no point arguing about who is breathing the better air.

Thank you for the info. I agree with you, engine talks to you but don't talk too loud until its becoming annoying like nagging wife at your side. sweat.gif

Inspira noise level is comfortable for me (a huge improvement from the waja). No issue when I tested it. Best if you go and test it yourself rather than rely on people's personal preference as benchmark for you.

QUOTE(drexchan @ Nov 23 2010, 12:29 AM)
When it physically breaks down (cracks for example).

The activated carbon inside has a life span though, but if you are not too environmentally conscious, and you don't mind emitting the fuel vapor to the air, just leave it.

Added on November 23, 2010, 12:30 amI hate cars that I cannot hear the engine.

It's talking to you, you know?

No that is not for you, its for those who comes in here and ask for review when they can go test the actual car for themselves and conclude for themselves, I knew you got a test drive before the launch, lucky lucky notworthy.gif BTW you've been of great help for us here.

QUOTE(drexchan @ Nov 23 2010, 12:41 AM)
errmm.. if this is for me.. I am the selected few who has test driven the car before it was officially launched, even before most sales agent got their hands on the steering wheel. LOL!

People should not think there is a perfect car or a car does not have its own set of problems. If you read other cars thread, you will find people reporting problems and dissatisfaction about their cars as well. Down to your luck sometimes. Choose something that you can maintain well and its within your budget so you won't feel burdened owning a car.

As for a 2 wheeler, yes its quick to go where ever you want, but still not as safe on the road with our bad road conditions and drivers around.

I also booked "perdana" days before the soft launch, just got news from my SA that his boss will be having meeting on the car delivery today and he will give me an update on the matter tomorrow, if I get anything from the SA I will keep everyone posted. And also just got confirmation on my number plate WUQ from my SA too.

Excitement is gone and the waiting for the unknown frustration is growing actually.

QUOTE(matkela @ Nov 23 2010, 03:52 PM)
I feel the same way too. Especially after being told that Proton gives priority to those who needs the car badly  i.e. only car oredi sold or desperate new purchase, as 2 examples.

i too booked as "perdana" before soft-launch, no news on delivery yet to this minute.

No one knows for sure, same thing with 1st, 2nd or 3rd batch discussion earlier. How to determine? Unless they tell us 1st batch is from chassis number 1-1500, and so on. Or else we are just speculating and worrying for nothing. Don't worry, if you have booked the car, just wait for the car and enjoy it. icon_rolleyes.gif

Not yet, so I just sms him, waiting for his reply. i dont expect any good news, bigger the hope bigger the disappointment.

The waiting is becoming too annoying already, so once I get the car, will go highway test 200km/h, release it all.... brows.gif

This is not funny man. What happened to the Mitsubishi's QC?

The color difference is due to the same paint spec sprayed on two different materials and it yields slightly different result. So they may need to use another color spec for the bumper for it to match the body. This is not an excuse because they have been building cars and should be aware of this issue right from the start.

QUOTE(darkangel7 @ Nov 24 2010, 05:02 PM)
not so funny actually... i noticed for my car the bumper and the body is slightly different in color.. The bumper is slightly whiter than the body color..

At least Proton is rectifying the problem before delivering the car, so its not being swept under the carpet like last time. Not jumping ship....smile.gif
