The QSR, KFC announcement is rather.... (can't find a word to describe it), propose privatisation, but not giving any indicator on price.
Let you all guess. laugh.gif

My view, doesn't necessary correct.

Good for MRCB, not so good for IJMland

A lot of time, merger is not 1 + 1 = 2.

Sime is the good example.
I prefer the Sime before merger, steady result and dividend. But after merger, doesn't provide 1+1 = 2 effect. Look at this year Sime final dividend, never in recent history got such low one.

my view? it would be quite irrational because MRCB has >60% gearing. a merger or takeover would mean that IJMLand would have to take on substantial debt. but it's very good for MRCB because.. how do i put it, IJMLand is a prettier jewel than MRCB.

if it happens, i feel IJMLand's shares might take a hit.

I see, so i should hold the MRCB stock until merged or sell before merged?
