QUOTE(mopster @ Nov 12 2010, 03:51 PM) so far based on what i've gathered... It just mean no more free printing, no more free sweet for the market. Need to work hard for it instead free printing.G20 may have come out with an agreement to control liquidity ... since a lot of nations object to USD printing... so... goreng stock will be the first to "go"... gotta wait for more news.. |

QUOTE(popcorn513 @ Nov 12 2010, 05:19 PM) Greece situation was more severe than Irish one. PIGS + Cisco profit warning + market has surged so much in recent weeks + rumour China is going to raise interest rate due to inflation running wild = current market correction excuse, take profit. QUOTE(yok70 @ Nov 16 2010, 08:55 AM) Time dotCom is undertaking a RM339 million acquisition exercise of several companies in the telecommunication services and infrastructure industry in a bid to transform itself into a regional player. As part of the corporate exercise, it is undertaking a share capital reduction, capital repayment and the acquisition of four companies as it seeks to expand into the regional telecommunications industry. Share capital reduction is one of worst news for shareholders. The exercise involves a share capital reduction of its paid-up of RM2.53 billion, comprising of 2.53 billion shares of RM1 each by cancelling 90 sen of the par value, followed by a share consolidation of the 2.53 billion 10 sen shares into 506.15 million shares, on the basis of five shares of 10 sen each to one share of 50 sen each in Time dotCom. Time dotcom also entered into two memoranda of agreements with the shareholders of Megawisra Sdn Bhd and Global Transit Ltd (Labuan) to acquire four companies for a total of RM286.5 million via the issuance of new shares and RM38.4 million cash. The four companies are Global Transit Communications Sdn Bhd for RM106 million, Global Transit Ltd for RM105 million, Global Transit (HK) Ltd and Global Transit Singapore Pte Ltd for RM1 each and AIMS Group for RM128 million in cash and shares. It also proposed a capital repayment of RM50.61 million or two sen per TdC share. Is this not good for Timecom? It's a correct direction, no? How come it seems to be opened in red sea? Added on November 16, 2010, 8:57 am Looking ok for far, looks like gonna opened in green. 10 lots become 1 then being consolidated back to 5 I am surprise it doesn't sink more on this news. |

QUOTE(jasontoh @ Nov 16 2010, 11:23 AM) 30 cents on each side (up/down)Timedotcom since first day of listing at Rm3.xx, has not performing well until now. Only ocassionally, rise in between, it is more a trading/speculative stocks to start with. Fundamental is still weak despite several attempt on corporate exercise like tie up with Digi etc. Above just my opinion. |

QUOTE(yok70 @ Nov 16 2010, 11:36 AM) The share par value is RM1.00, but NTA ony Rm0.4x. It is the other way round, the capital reduction is essential to avoid PN17 in the future, and need newly injected business to revive the company. Shareholder fund cannot less than xx% of company paid up capital and it could trigger PN17 status, MAS did once before but granted exemption, as loss is come from write-off of oil hedge, I don't remember clearly on this rule, may be other can clarify on this. |

Share capital reduction is like.
Every share has paid up capital like RM1.00, aka Rm1.00 is given as start up capital for the company. But due to losses being made and accumulated, the company adopt capital reduction is like tell the shareholders, your previous invested RM1.00, now only Rm0.10. |

QUOTE(smartly @ Nov 16 2010, 12:10 PM) maybe also depend on counter, i remember once bjtoto also cut from par 0.50 to 0.10. This is different.everyone was so happy about getting the capital repayment of 50sen. but in this case, Time.Com is going through a share consolidation to the ratio of 5:1 after cancellation of par 90sen. another word 100/50 = 2sen for each Time.Com share. so pathetic. ! Bjtoto - capital repayment - shareholder get back the money Timecom - capital reduction - shareholder get zero money, while existing shareholding might be diluted. |

QUOTE(popcorn513 @ Nov 16 2010, 03:28 PM) can explan why tommorow public holiday then today KLCI will turn red all? Any reasoning behind? just want to learnt QUOTE(popcorn513 @ Nov 16 2010, 03:32 PM) Actually, it has a lot to do with overseas market as well.We have lot of uncertainty with SSEC plunging 4%. For speculators, the worst they want to see is their speculative/contra stocks hold in hand, while other overseas plunge non-stop, while you cannot do anything about it due to market holiday. For speculative play, every day count, everyday different. |

QUOTE(jasontoh @ Nov 16 2010, 03:39 PM) Normally, price may spike a little after capital reduction exercise. Some even under intense goreng, as now you have less share in the market or many may ended up too little share, odd shares that cannot trade directly. So easy target for goreng. But most slowly drift downwards after day by day, and back to near penny. I seldom see company that underwent capital reduction exercise become flourish afterwards. Yes, may be there are exception but not many. Because if the company is good, it should not be experiencing capital reduction exercise in the first place. |
