kanabalize: it's an open secret that i'm kinda their official "OverClocking/Hardware" representative. it's not on sales but MSI Malaysia is kinda considering to bring in for sales. since there's plenty of ppl asking for it. the problem is, i was told that the MOQ is 1000 pieces. lol.

lolololol. 1000 pcs laugh.gif
no problem, I'm sure they're people buying it to show off all the cool looking 8 PCI-E lane's, or maybe putting 8 single slot GPUs for photography purpose?

I like your that bench thingy too, awsum looking stuff smile.gif

anyway, just saw the "Multi-BIOS" switch beside the OC Genie. Multiple BIOS as in how many? hmm.gif read somewhere that it's using UEFI?

TechnoG: The multi-bios is where you are able to switch between 2 bios, which one you want to use. iirc.

MSI Releases the R6950 Twin Frozr III Power Edition Graphics Card
Propeller Blade Technology & Triple Over-Voltage Support: 11˚C Cooler, 13.9dB Quieter, 21%+ performance boost!

user posted image

(Taipei – Taiwan) Internationally renowned graphics card and mainboard manufacturer MSI proudly launches the R6950 Twin Frozr III Power Edition today. The all-new graphics card is not only equipped with the latest Twin Frozr III dual fan cooling module, it also incorporates MSI's exclusive Propeller Blade technology for 20% more airflow than conventional fan blade designs. Under full loads, the GPU core runs 11˚C cooler than the reference thermal solution and noise output is up to 13.9 dB lower. The popular PCB architecture from the R6850 Cyclone 1GD5 Power Edition has been retained as well, with Triple Over-Voltage support and a 6+2 phase power delivery system that ensures overclocking potential and stability, achieving up to 21% more performance than the reference HD 6950*! By meeting the needs for increased cooling efficiency, an enhanced power supply, improved overclocking potential, and constant stability — the R6950 Frozr III Power Edition is undoubtedly the best HD6950 graphics card on the market today.

20% More Airflow with Exclusive Propeller Blade Technology
The MSI R6950 Twin Frozr III Power Edition is equipped with the latest Twin Frozr III dual fan thermal solution. The MSI-exclusive Propeller Blade technology features air channels on the edge of the blades to expand total airflow by up to 20%! The twin 8cm PWM fans, heat pipe technology, large surface-area nickel-plated copper base and high fin density all serve to rapidly draw excess heat away from the graphics card. Under a full load, the R6950 Twin Frozr III Power Edition GPU runs 11˚C cooler than the reference design, and noise emission is reduced by 13.9 dB — validating the superior cooling performance and silent running advantages of the Twin Frozr III.

Since active users may use their graphics cards for a variety of applications, MSI developed the exclusive P/S Switch function for controlling the speed of the fans. The Performance Mode is used to achieve an optimal cooling performance, helping to keep the GPU cool even under high loads. For applications or settings where noiselessness is preferred, the Silent Mode can be utilized as the appropriate mode for gaming or movies, ensuring that fan noise is kept to a minimum while still receiving outstanding cooling performance.

Military Class II: Standard for Ultimate Quality and Stability
Professional USDOD-Accredited Laboratory Certifies Military Class Components

user posted image

Mainboard and graphic card manufacturer MSI launched the Military Class standard last year to enhance the quality and stability of MSI products. MSI went even further and recently equipped all Intel Series 6 platforms with the Military Class II standard, an additional step forward in the effort to build the highest quality product. Although all components had been tested to comply with the Military Class II standard, MSI hired a third-party professional laboratory – Integrated Service Technology Inc – to perform temperature, stress and humidity tests according to the US Department of Defense component standards, in an effort to provide complete evidence to end users. As shown in the results, all Military Class II components have passed all items in these tests. These also show that the Military Class II standard of MSI is a guarantee for ultimate quality and stability.

Hi-c CAP: Highly-conductive polymerized Capacitor
To ensure stable and uninterrupted power supply for the pulse-width modulation (PWM) zone on the CPU, MSI equips its mainboards with the Hi-c CAP, which is commonly used on aerospace and military products. In addition to outstanding stability in high and low working temperature, Hi-c CAPs are made with the rare element tantalum, which has a lifespan eight times longer than solid caps. Hi-c CAP is the best component for ultimate performance and stability in OC and high workload environments.

SFC: Super Ferrite Choke
When compared with traditional chokes, the super ferrite choke (SFC) is tested to enhance power supply stability by 30%. Also, advanced SFC can automatically regulate power load according to the supply load status, thus providing a guarantee for stable power supply for both OC and system operations.

Solid CAP: Solid Capacitors
In addition to a lifespan of more than 10 years, the aluminum-cored solid cap has lower equivalent series resistance (ESR) than general electrolytic caps to enhance power efficiency, reduce wasted heat generation and prevent the risk of electrolyte leaking to enhance overall system stability.

recently i bought the MSI x58a-gd65 mainboard, but the mainboard keep produce buzz noise... only if I disable 3 things in BIOS, Intel EIST, C-STATE and C1E support. what the disappointed product.

update: MSI provided very good services and fast respond on my problem, they even sent me a new board and let me test it and help me to find the problem. so that i don't have to wait for RMA the board for few weeks. finally i found is my Corsair HX1000 psu giving me the whine/buzz noise issue. again I would to thanks the 2 persons who assisted me from MSI support team Andrew and Juan.
