How come the price I found here (http://www.1msia.org/resources/Intel%20Motherboards-HTS-May2011List.pdf) is only RM477?. Which one is the correct one?
*
Dear YabaDaba,
The price offered for Z68MA-ED55 from the website is lower than our distributor's costing. However SRP is somehow a reference, actual price might be lower than the SRP. For the actual price, you may check with our respected dealers.
Thank you.

Dear paradis3lost,
It's very normal for the frequency to fluctuate fro it's original speed. In this regards the BCLK. But diabling Intel SpeedStep may solve this issue. It can be found in the OverClocking Center in BIOS. As for VCore fluctuation, are you using the latest BIOS? If not try to update it and see whether it helps. Cheers.

I have a MSI CR600series laptop, unfortunately the laptop casing around the LCD panel has cracked suddenly one weeks ago.

So I take it my local shop and ask for the price for a new casing. The shop said the casing cost around RM200.

I want to ask if the price is ok or not. Or if I take it to MSI service centre will be better.
*
Dear skye,

Did you mean the LCD bazel? The price for the replacement plus labour charge will be around that price or slightly cheaper if you send it to our service center.

Actually I'm using MSI Z68A-GD65 (G3) - PCI-E Gen 3
But what it really mean by Ivy Bridge ready?
Does it mean it will be able to fit in new ivy bridge processor? LGA2011?

Or just Gen 3 VGA Card?
*
Dear Jasonjinct

Ivy Bridge is the new upcoming processor that still with current LGA1155 socket and Socket 2011 is for Sandy Bridge-E.
Hope this will make you clear.

Dear chaics85

CPU temp have 2 sensors. 1 is in the processor itself and another 1 is the motherboard sensor.

After you unlock your cores, there is not possible to check the temperature by the processor sensor so you have to rely on the motherboard sensor. to detect which TMPIN is the CPU temp, just stress your processor for a short time and see which TMPIN increase drastically.

About the BIOS, ur System is not in idle mode when in BIOS/POST. So that temp is acceptable with low profile cooler. But not with noctua dh-14. There might be a possibility that the temp reported is not accurate. i will update you later with my temp after duplicate this problem.

Dear chaics85

Ive checked with my unit and yes, TMPIN0 is the cpu temperature.

BTW, its normal for the TMPIN to display higher value compared to the core#. But you might need to check your mounting. I tested with Hyper212+ and the temperature recorded was slightly cooler then yours.

Dear chaics85

For my ambient temperature, it was around 32c. But i forgot to mentioned that my setup was caseless.

And about the CFX, i believe all 990FX chipset motherboard can do 2x16.

Edit: i missed the TDP part. If its about the wattage, max AM3 CPU is 140w.. and this motherboad surely can support it without problem

Regards

Hey thanks for the infos..

is it safe to use msi live update software to upgrade bios?? or there are other ways? noob here..
*
Dear chaics

I advice you not to use the live update. The software may load unwanted software into your computer.

Here is the step to use M-Flash. This is a very safe operation so you can flash without worry

1-Download a BIOS from MSI official website.
2-Extract the content.
3-Place only the BIOS file directly into a thumbdrive (not into any folder) - In your case, the BIOS file is E7640AMS.J30
4-Plug in the thumbdrive(recommended using back port) and switch on the PC
5-Constantly hit “del” button to enter BIOS
6-Search for M-Flash option. Chose to update BIOS, navigate until you found the E7640AMS.J30 file and perform update
7-Don’t turn off the power during BIOS update.

Please post any question here if you having any difficulties in using M-Flash

Dear chaics85

Once you perform an update, the previous version of BIOS will be erased. So there is no use for you to update every single version of BIOS
Just update the latest will do.

Hey MSI-MY,

Was wondering, my recent GC failed and crash frequently with notification of kernel driver 275.33 crashed and recovered. i try different drivers but still the same, isit possible to RMA my GTX560 Ti TFII?
*
Dear ZaRnX

Yes, RMA is possible but its best for you to troubleshoot it by yourself 1st and see if the GC is really gone faulty. If not, you might end up waiting for nothing.

May i know when the problem occurred? While play every games or just a specific game or idle?
Did you sweep clean your driver before changing drivers?
Have you check the temperature of the GPU when the problem occurred? If high, please remove the side panel first
Did you overclock the GPU? If yes, please reduce the speed or just stick to stock setting first.
