Once in ext2, the proc never enter sleep mode. Check *#*#info#*#*

Converting back to rfs causes data loss. Apps and sync setting including contacts gone. Now i am out and i have no capability to recover my phone. Market disappeared as well. I am now having one hell of a time.

You can try converting back to rfs (incl restore kernel)if you want to try.

how do u type the word info at the keypad while entering the *#....

in 7.6.2 yes, but 8.0.1 is not latest, i guess Doc missed out something, but it can be updated in Market
*
tried to update it, but can't.
Then activate market access, also can't update.

Since 7.6.2 youtube is latest, so i just use 7zip to open the app list, then extracted it. now install it liao. How do we tell the version of our youtube?

Did you enable lagfix? Did you flash special kernel?

One thing i notice is, if you got the app 'spare parts', go change the windows transition animation speed to fast, it feels smoother! Maybe just placebo effect but maybe not
*
it ain't placebo. it actually fast & smooth.

any one of u running Doc's v8 experiencing call sound quality issues?
*
I was worried about it when i followed the XDA thread, then i conducted a few trial to check whether my voice turn more sexy by making few calls... to my disappointment, it didnt tongue.gif jz the same voice hee...

But i m not using the kernel that come with the v8.0.1, i followed jujx, flashed to Ya-OK v1.3 (build 30)... then also follow jujx again, change the window and animation setting from spare part to 'fast'... i did not encounter any lag at all... it is so instant to open anything.

Been seeing this thread over the wkend... my lord, the number of plp affected by kies... i m so pleased that i do not need to suffer those headache hee...

Flashing through CWM is hassle-free  rclxms.gif
By the way, I am wondering how is the Ya-OK kernal performing... was using speedmod i1.2 at the moment,  would flash directly to Ya-OK give me problem?
*
no la... u jz download the files from XDA, then use odin, put the tar file in PDA, leave rest blank. DO NOT CHECK partition.

that it.

Yupe, YA-OK v1.3 (build 30) OC 1.2

tried but didnt work..
if u on mxis.. can u make a call?
*
no prob on my device wor... i m on v 8.0.1 + Ya-OK v1.3 + tweaked IO + VM, no RFS + ext4, window and animation "fast" via spare part.

If u can't make a call, i doubt it is something to deal with ur apn setting, what about redo the whole thing again, wipe, factory reset, flashed..? When u backup, try not to backup the system, ie, after a clean a start, do all the system setting again, don't restore it. i also attach my apn setting for u here.

Menu > Setting > wireless and network > mobile networks > Access Point Names

Name : Maxis
APN : unet
Proxy : 202.75.133.49
Port : 80
User name : maxis
Password : wap
Server : Maxis MMS
MMSC : http://172.16.74.100:10021/mmsc
MMS proxy : 202.75.133.49
MMS port : 80
MCC : 502
MNC : 12
Authentication type : none
APN type : internet + mms

After doing this, reboot / restart ur fon.

that should be able to work

actually, why u change to JPD modem? izzit because of the voice issue?

yes.. some forumer says change to modem JPP or JPD.. but now when i wanna try the change, my apn screwed..
is ur setting works on both 2G n 3G?

i read somewhere that unet is for 3G and net for 2G
*
I always put my phone on 2g. If i find my GPRS is dam slow, ie i behtahan, then i will just switch to 3g to surf... with that setting i wrote, i got it from maxis customer service, didnt have much problem so far. As i always reset it whenever i flash to a new ROM. i find if i backup system then restore it, it some how screw up a bit. Well, retype the setting doesnt take much time :-)

Just make the ROM clean la.. ie wipe everything then flashed.. u guarantee gonna like the suggested features from jujx, ie Ya-ok, spare part muahahaha...

my battery drops 4% each hour without doing anything..
background data is OFF
packet data is OFF
wiFi & 3G is OFF

Im on Docs 8.01 with the tweaks from CWM
*
that must be something not right dude.

mine
background data ON
autosync ON
2G
APN off because i m on wifi
v8.0.1
tweaked IO and VM
no RFS ext4
YA-OK v1.3 (build 30)

U may need to check ur running apps setting>application>running apps
i got this massive drain when change to v8.0.1, then i checked my whatsapp is running all time, so i tapped and stop it. this will come back when i reboot the phone. There is no option from whatsapp to stop it at boot. Someone also felt that the stock kernel may be a batt sucker, but not on Ya-OK.
