You're right there. So far when these kinds of friends ask me for a phone recommendation, I tell them to check out iphone4:

1. Those who like to show off their phones - fashion statement, status symbol blah blah
2. Those who want the best out-of-box experience, meaning either non-techie or typical 'man on the street' user.
3. Those who are psycho and will go nuts if 1/2 features out of 30 on their phones suddenly don't work as well as expected.
4. Those who habitually forget to charge their phones every night.. smile.gif
*
plus 1...for those who don't mind sharing files or picture while on the go....because lots of people like to yell " hey..what a stupid phone..cannot even transfer songs/pictures to my phone using bluetooth...silly

CyanogenMod 6.1 first public beta ETA is 19th Nov!!

Can't wait for it, this will really show the potential of Samsung's hardware (software sucks)

Nexus 1 & Desire are the catalyst for Android. Galaxy S is the propagation that follows through. And now with all those Desire HD, Droid X, and basically everybody else jumping on the bandwagon, Android is going to enter Explosion state (or in the midst of it).

Google knows this, and that is why their Nexus 2 ought to be significantly better than N1 (Not like IP4, not much diff from 3GS).

That is why I believe the rumour that Google and Sammy working on N2 is true, coz Google knows Sammy is good on making superb hardware, but lacks on software. Their joint effort could define a new era coming for Android development.

Just my opinion though. brows.gif

Just what I thought but I don't know how to put it in words. Haha. It is true, and it was going to release yesterday, but it was pulled back because Google wants to be the first to produce dual core phones with Android. There's a little bit of implications on that from what I read. I hate the fact that I just bought my SGS and in the coming month, probably december, the Nexus S will be released. Time to change again?

iPhone 4 is impressive actually; the build quality, the camera, speakers and screen is a vast improvement from iPhone 3GS. Not that I don't think you're right, but everyone has different expectations.

any site which review all firmwares and its contents?
e.g for all new firmware released, they list down:
- languages available?
- apps preloaded?
- samsung apps?
- fixes included?
then would be easier to know the differences.

cheers

Compared to JPP? JPD feels smoother but no scientific proofs here cause I haven't benchmark or anything. But I think the difference would be marginal. Don't know about GPS, network or anything that's improved or not on this modem. But fluidity of the UI, impressive. I'll try revert back to JPP and see if it's as fluid or not.

Battery life: Hmm, I've had good battery life with JPP but it's very random. With JPD, since this morning, I've played games straight for 7 hours up till now with fully charged battery. Now, it's at 31%. Pretty impressive.

better out of the box experience for iphone 4?
of coz..slide to unlock-> apps(and that's it)

u dun like, just sell it off..no people can force u..
want better phone for URSELF,research before u buy it to know pros & cons..dont buta-buta buy it then complain this and that..

yeah yeah u will say that i bias/whatever shit but SGS do serve me well until now(and of coz i looking forward for better 1 in the future)

SGS don't serve u well?just sell it and get others which SUIT u well...

Yes... because iphone4 did not gave me any trouble for some reason .... everything went so right ... and felt so right...

Unlike SGS where i desperately waiting and needing a fix...

Im just giving my opinion .. why so harsh?? Fan boy getting mad? brows.gif

Iphone 4 is not that great of a phone and i could say it lacks alot of feature... but the only thing that satisfy me is that it did not gave me any problems and it feels solid...

SGS on the other hand seems like a great phone with so much potential but did not stand out with its troublesome Flaws...

The phone is seriously buggy .... i wont list them all out but people who use official firmware would know it..

Try setting your wallpaper to the one that gives you water ripple effect [not the one with leaves] .... and you know what i mean... and thats just one of the many flaws..

again, of all the people who quoted my post... yours always seem the most butthurt as if my post had killed your soul mate...

Im just giving my honest opinion so potential SGS buyers might take that into consideration ..... and im not going to argue with you because you will never give a constructive debate other than "Dont like then sell your phone" or the simple "GTFO" bullshits...

What do you mean? Is there a problem with that?

Well, suit yourself. Whatever floats your boat. Go ahead la.

I just wanna say that, you're in SGS thread. People here might sound like "butthurt" when you complain about SGS, I don't think they did, they don't condone to iPhone 4 either, we're just being fair and give you a piece of advise.
