oh man..that's pretty weak..

mine lasted 3 days..

wifi for an hour.. play some games less than an hour.. call.. and heavy
music.. and I would lever the phone on stanby when I sleep..

my screen brightness set to the lowest thought..even when I surf web..

I bought iphone 4 also.. I don't see the point of selling since I don't need the money..

btw.. maybe my usage isn't as heavy as you guys since the discription isnt specific...

but so far..galaxy s battery seems good..

for some reason..the way you guys put it.. seems like tor phones can't even last even on stanby mode?

wa.. to be honest.. based on what I say.. my usage time only less than 4hr in 3days..and that also seem like something Impossible..i wonder if your phone is faulty..

music doesn't eat up much battery..because the screen is off and everything else is off when I listen to music

and also I felt that sgs standby time is very great...better than iphone 4 at least

Not worth upgrading .... only stupid people with too much money on hand would upgrade from galaxy S to that phone..


Its basicly Galaxy S .. but wiht .2GHZ more in proc... better camera.. and different form factor....



You would get an overall same experiance as you get with the Galaxy S ....

Its like having Iphone 3Gs upgrading to Iphone 4...

Pure meaningless and waste of money

LOLZ.... you are still using the same thing... but paid RM2k+ more to have that minor hardware... which you cant even notice it..


Brand Loyalty is also the same saying as FAN BOYS in the cyberworld..

Alright... if u wanna sell ur 3Gs toget iphone 4.... you still need to pay at least RM1k+ more ....


is it worth the RM1k+ just for some minor hardware upgrade?? I bet if you aren't the "too much money" to spend type... you would regret paying RM1k+ for nothing new ... for instance, you would still use it like how you did with the 3Gs ...


If you do not feel that way.. it just means that RM1k+ is small amount of money to you and the minor upgrade is worth that much to you...

I wonder if by 30th November, Froyo still not yet out for Malaysia Kies....

When compare my SGS with my frens nexus one ... its full of SHAME only... i got nothing to be proud of with SGS..


1. Nexus one gets os update quicker and more satisfying
2. His phone is faster than mine ... SGS lags and irresponsive once in a while one...
3. GPS like crap... seriously malu when i wanted to show off my GPS when we travelling to genting one time ... My GPS did not lock any signal from Sunway till near the hill of genting... and by then.. the accuracy was WAY WAY OFF that my position was even off ROAD>....
4. The back cover of SGS feels very plasticy and greasy ...
5. My friend says its a cheap toy phone despite the unsolid feel when holding it compared to iphone 4...


Now you know why i got so pissed why SGS .... i got nothing to be proud of despite spending over RM2.5k for the phone...


All of the problems also cause by unstable and lousy software instead of hardware... and SAMSUNG Malaysia is CRAP at doing their job updating our phones..

and yes... NEW firmware is THAT important .... some people might chose SGS over iphone just because of FLASH support.... if you all like to think less of it ... you might as well not considered those feature to be part of it..




Overall i seriously got to say .. SGS realy gave me a bad out of the box experiance...

Hopefully the update FIX the GPS and Lag problem .... then it would be good enough...

But i got a feeling that Froyo update for Malaysia would not come by 30 november .

If the phone made of alluminium or glass for the back cover .... then its perfect... i dont mind the extra weight though.. cause it gives a solid feel...

Yes... because iphone4 did not gave me any trouble for some reason .... everything went so right ... and felt so right...

Unlike SGS where i desperately waiting and needing a fix...

Iphone 4 is not that great of a phone and i could say it lacks alot of feature... but the only thing that satisfy me is that it did not gave me any problems and it feels solid...

SGS on the other hand seems like a great phone with so much potential but did not stand out with its troublesome Flaws...

The phone is seriously buggy .... i wont list them all out but people who use official firmware would know it..

Try setting your wallpaper to the one that gives you water ripple effect [not the one with leaves] .... and you know what i mean... and thats just one of the many flaws..

again, of all the people who quoted my post... yours always seem the most butthurt as if my post had killed your soul mate...


Im just giving my honest opinion so potential SGS buyers might take that into consideration ..... and im not going to argue with you because you will never give a constructive debate other than "Dont like then sell your phone" or the simple "GTFO" bullshits...

With JG4 firmware using the water livewallapaper.... the wallpaper crashes very often and goes into black screen when you run heavy application or sometimes even just by changing windows....

it seems to happen randomly but i would say its quite often ....

I thought it was just me but ive check with many other SGS user with official JG4 firmware that faces the same problem too....

Other live wallpaper doesnt seem to have the effect though...


Another bug that ive got to mention is the Music Player bug .... when you endtask the music player while playing... the program will close from task manager... but when you pull out the headjack ... the music player would appear at task manager and running at background again for some reason ....

again... it happens randomly ... its not a big deal or anything .. but its still a flaw...


As i mentioned, iPhone 4 gave me a better out of the box eperiance because it did not have those GPS nonsense and laggyness.... SGS is just rediculous when running nimbuzz and certain apps that it would freeze... and an overall laggy experiance ....





Back to the topic.... i guess we aint getting froyo this week as what samfirmware had stated....

im starting to realize samfirmware is realy an undependable source ..... although its not an official samsung affliates... they would always announce update like they are assure to be happening...

The new froyo is just too AWESOME!!!!

it FIXED every flaw EVERY THING ive complained about ....

1. Youtube player now works like a CHARM ..... can drag the red thingy and for some reason able to load video FASTER and even open it FASTER and respond FASTER ...

2. The GPS now Locks within 10 sec even @ in doors.... [Dont know if this is temporary or what] ...

3. Flash player is awesome!! .. i can watch youtube video @ youtube!!!

4. New music player looks nicer ... like the smaller volume toolbar and color scheme



Everything is great.... its the best experiance i have ever had with a phone


a few minor dissapointment though
1. Navigation doesnt work for malaysia..
2. Voice Action is kinda crappy...
3. The phone still feel abit laggy...

Listen To - Not working

THe feature is pretty much uselss..... the video look so awseome pula ...
