Aiyo, I now jadi Astro CS in LYN ar? 

Last Month, while I'm back in Kedah, they are still shouting at each other in the morning but I'm surprised to see they are blesed with 8 kids already with their eldest just got into a Uni in Australia! Talk about love-hate relationship, that is teh best example I can give.

We as Malaysians are being severely screwed up by those monopolised companies.  Who granted them the exclusive license to operate in pay satellite tv?  Same goes to highway operators with guaranteed profits for them.  If our cable/satellite tv industry is open, then we can see the savior.   Astro did not make it in Indonesia and lost million of ringgit is a very good example.  Astro can't make money with their retarded mentality in doing business in a fair manner.

Wanna ask one noob question, if I connect my audio from beyond to my HomeThreater, will it affect or interfere with my picture quality?

Channel 338 is now already available.

BUT I am using Byond with Plasma HDTV and it seems that 338 is not like an HD channel at all.

Yeah IF ONLY star hub come...but no... so you are kinda stuck with Astro...Let's look on the bright side, you can continue on complaining and b****ing about it.

BAD stuff....

- NO automatic weekly recording schedule
- NO way to DELETE recording after watching
- very CONFUSING interface, multiple steps to watch a recoding
- Whoever designed the user interface definitely NOT a AstroMax user or ever used a PVR before!!!!

Ass-throw never lose 1.  Only can lose if compete in a fair competition.  Customers always lose.

What i hate most but miss a lot is the going to the nearest channel function ,this was avaliable wiith older decorders now u hv to memorise every channel  number to tune on  if not the message  "channel not avaliable"  will pop on the screen. This is silly the decorder shld go to the next nearest channel. If i press 833 the channel shld go to 831 or 832,imagine  the old folks how can they remember every channel number ? Now  i understand the gist of being losers !!

Ch338 is Zhi Zun HD preview shown in SD. Ch310 is the real Zhi Zun channel in HD. I don't subscribe to Dynasty package so I don't get ch310 normally. However I thought all HD subscribers are supposed to get ch310 for free 3-17Feb? Can somesone confirm this because I still can't get the ch310 currently? Thanks.

Ass-throw is slaying the customers here at their will.  Bear in mind, the customer base in Malaysia is many times greater than in Singapore and Starhub can offer more attractive package than Ass-throw.  Believe Ass-throw must have feeding too many useless ppl in the organisation.  You can see very glamour positions.  CEO, President, Vice-President, Assistant Vice President and etc.  With such a big organisation and yet they can't manage the customer service level well. Garbage in and garbage out.

Zhi Zhun REAL HD ch310 is on in my b.yond... (i dont subscribe to dynasty)

Channel 310 is in HD. I am not a dynasty subscriber and I am able to watch it now. Astro even stated it in their advertisement.

I am really having a hard time to keep track of the episode of the TV series recorded from the Byond PVR. Why Astro does not state the episode # in the programme description? I found that all the episodes, at least for the Three Kingdoms, are all having the same description (info). How do I know it's which episode and whether it's a repeat or not.. 

Please help me sifu..i had received sms from beyond installer..he want to install my decoder tomorrow...but he want to charged me $400..is it the standard installation fee for exsisting astro user to upgrade their beyond? 

after i check from astro website..astro said astro will give discount $100 if i returned the older decoder..but my installer said that he will not take my older decoder & i need to pay him $400..wtf?

Well...not quite. You weren't held at gunpoint and forced to hand over 20rm a month for a few channels. You made that decision yourself.

I don't think myr20 is too bad for the 8 or 9 HD channels I watch. Apart from AXN, the others are actually new channels (as opposed to HD broadcasts of existing channels) so they do add to the variety available.
