I agree with you. something is very wrong with Astro  SD n HD I dunno wat is it, something is still not right to me .I wld still say my TV is doing most of the job to make the PQ better Not the stupid beyond box !

i currently have 1 LCD tv connected to my astro byond decoder which is in d bedroom while the 2nd decoder/splitter/whatever u call it is in the living room. I recently bought a new Plasma tv and left it in the Living room.
I managed to tune in to Astro n all but, the quality for d HD channels is disappointing
is there anyway to make both run in HD quality?
ive read from earlier post abt HDMI splitter. could you please tell me more about this?

eh guys..just wanna ask..i live in the skudai,jb area..im able to receive Singaporean and even some Indonesian channels thru normal UHF antenna..just wanna ask..today was the launch of AL-HIJRAH TV..i have been searching it like crazy coz my parents are interested to see it..i've used the frequencies for the channel that was published in the newspapers and also ones i have asked here..still i am not able to find it..

anything i need to do to get the channel?

I called Astro again today to ask about my upgrade. The CS rep said that their system is not yet stable. They can assign installers for us, but the activation later will be a pain, coz the system is still not ready to do activation. Once everything is ready, only then will they assign installers coz they want the activation to be near instant, just like previous Byond subscribers. He also advised me once an installer contacts me, I should ask him whether he can do an immediate activation, if not, I should refuse installation.

Berita yang baru kami terima mengatakan bahawa mulai Januari 2011, Astro melalui rangkaian Mustika bakal bersiaran dalam format HD sepenuhnya. Mustika yang mempunyai 3 saluran filem dan drama iaitu Citra, Warna dan B4U itu bakal menayangkan karya-karya terbaik yang hanya dalam format HD sepenuhnya. Para penerbit filem dan drama yang tidak menggunakan format HD semasa penggambaran tidak layak untuk menayangkan produk mereka di saluran HD tersebut. ASTRO CITRA HD, WARNA HD, dan B4U HD itu akan mulai beroperasi pada awal tahun depan mengikut kesesuaian siaran dan pengumuman kelak. Pelanggan Astro yang hanya melanggan pakej BEYOND HD sahaja akan menerima tiga saluran tersebut dalam format HD sepenuhnya. Pihak ASTRO kini merangka strategi untuk menjadikan ASTRO sepenuhnya beroperasi dalam format HD. Nantikan info terkini secara ekslusif di sini ya..
