Citibank recently launched Citibank Ready Credit. A sort of revolving overdraft facility 'pay-as-you-use' concept. Very similar to OCBC Malaysia's offering a couple of years ago Powercredit. Anyone applied? What are the documents required? I find this very attractive as it is flexible unlike the usual personal loans where they start calculating upon drawdown of loan amount.

I had a very sour experience with Citibank with their Phone-a-Loan program many years back. They are bloodsuckers. I will never do business with Citibank or let Citibank earn my money anymore.

u cant say its a credit card. coz it doesnt offer u interest free period for full payment cardholders. The moment u swipe your card for purchases, u'll be charged interest. The benefit of this product is that since its a debit card on a revolving checking facility, u're able to withdraw cash thru ATM or issue cheques without incurring Cash Advance fee (unlike credit cards) .. and if u have extra cash, u shld settle the outstanding immediately (to reduce interest), no need to wait for statements..... since u r able to withdraw out again using ATM/cheque, it doesnt matter if u r out-of-cash after the settlement.

You can't apply for anything through their website since like more than a year ago. When you click apply or sign-up, you'll be prompted to leave your contact details and one of their sales person will be in touch with you very soon.

My cousin wanted me to ask for the T&C. He is very interested at the product but just shy of 21. Anyone got an idea on the minimum age requirement?

The limit subject to managment approval. If u have credit card more than 1 years for other banks(except citibank) then u can attach a photocopy together with your IC . Otherwise you have to provide your income document example like payslip,EPF statement, bank statement and so on smile.gif

Theoretically it's not a credit card, so not need the RM50 GST.
It's an overdraft with card's facility. At least that's how they are going to sell it. That is why interest starts from day 1 you used the money either via check, ATM or swiping.

0.05% daily = 18.25% pa daily rest.
this is purely like cc cash advance rate. not even close to overdraft which base on BLR.

skip.

IMO, it'll attract ppl whom are credit hungry and in need of quick cash. Maybe that's why they put the interest so high, because its very high risk product and I foresee a higher default rate even higher than personal loan which cuerrently the industry is runnning at a higher default rate compared to credit cards sweat.gif

I've applied 'ONLY' for the Citibank mastercard (cash rebate) as they got special deal on smartphone maxis. Suprisingly when approved they offer me another Visa card and also the ready credit which i didn't requested for mad.gif . And for the ready credit the charge is expensive. Better to apply for personal loan as the interest is much more lower.

worse still, early termination before 12month will subject to termination fee of RM200, which will not be stated by their call person.
I consented to it without knowing that, when thought of make no use and decide to call for cancellation...

Thanks for reminding, just checked, mine also more than 1 year, so can terminate. Please confirm no charges when you get your final statement etc. But I also wonder, since it have no annual fee/tax, why not keep just for emergency...?

I'm an ex citibanker. Definitely the interest is higher than credit card, mostly likely 19% per annum.

Hi, but this is "overdraft" right?
I received an offered email from citibank sales officer, I am confused. rclxub.gif

Loan Amount : RM 10000
Interest rate : 6.56 % flat rate p.a
Tenor : Min ½ years / Max 3 years
Monthly : Min RM 331.67

Why look like Personal Loan instead of overdraft? confused.gif
Do I need to paid every month?

By the way, this amount not satisfy me. laugh.gif

Which one?

Actually I'm prefer overdraft instead of PL cos just need some money for short terms turnover.

I'm interest Citibank Ready Credit no need collateral but bank overdraft do, also provide 1 to 1 amount only, useless.
