What's point of extending the miniUSB? doh.gif
It's the normal USB input that we need.

Can meLi or aspire provide picture to prove this?

Because N8 has a squarish port to fit their "specially customized" cable to only fit N8 and of course the new Symbian^3 devices. smile.gif

u need to install Virtual PC and run Virtualxp, then the device is recognized with no issues. Have flashed my baby countless times with complete success, biggrin.gif

Edit: If you're using Win7 Professional original copy then just refer the link below, download and install on ur pc.

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx

If your're not using professional version like me or if ure using an 'ahem' copy of windows, check ur PM, I sent u a link for a standalone installer, tongue.gif

yeah, thats like 15gms for the adapter + usb drive about 65gms = 80gms hanging off your micro usb port. no thanks.

better off with cable. at least not so much stress when you move around.

if you use a grinder and shave some metal off the N8 cable it might fit.
