i'll try to keep you all updated on the Sandy Bridge issue announcement. But too bad, IINM, MSI Malaysia is not allowed to entertain oversea-purchased notebook. referring to huyified. but since this is Intel problem, i guess manufacturers won't have any problem handling this issue cause Intel will most probably cover all the loses.

razorboy: no worries, the new batch of GT680 is definitely equipped with B3 chipset mainboard. currently MSI Malaysia has already halt all the GT680 sales. to clarify the pricing of GT680, it definitely won't be RM3699. but what i heard is that MSI Malaysia is coming out with a promotion, something like "Buy 1 Free 1." maybe you get a free netbook if you purchase the GT680. i'll update on this asap.

Dear MSI Users, here's some info i got from MSI Malaysia.

MSI will have a cocktail event for Lowyat.NET MSI Fan Club to take a close-up view of MSI’s recent product, particularly those laptops featuring Dynaudio. Apart of MSI Laptop powered by Dynaudio speakers, we will also set up a Dynaudio surround sound system. Words is that Dynaudio Principle is making an appearance as well. But no confirmation yet.

Theme: A Cocktail Party Exclusive for Lowyat.NET MSI Fans - Come and enjoy the music live from MSI laptops!
Time: Evening of May 10 (later notice if it changes)
Venue: TBA

Here i would like to help MSI Malaysia to do an interest check to get a clear headcount for them to prepare. Anyone who like to participate kindly notify me in this thread. Hehe.. everyone is welcomed, whether you owned a MSI Laptop or not.

PS: Bro viruz019, would appreciate if you could post this up in the first post of this thread. biggrin.gif

hehe.. bro viruz,
Here is some insider info. For MSI, some of the internal parts is decided by the Product Manager. Perhaps that's the reason why MSI-MY asked you guys prefer SSD + HDD or a bigger SSD. But once it's picked, no changes can be made. So want or don't want, you got no choice but to accept the Blu-Ray. hehe.. and the above spec is chosen by MSI Malaysia Product Manager.

Dear guys,

As we said before, we tried to be competitive in pricing comparing to Oversea vendors. This is our first trial. Do give us some feedback so that we can improve.

viruz019: The spec from my.msi.com is customized according to Malaysia Spec. So you can refer to the link given and the spec shown there is the unit which will be sold here in Malaysia.
trustmeiamlegit: So far MSI Malaysia has no such plan yet. Cheers.

tenwei: Unfortunately, it has not reach Malaysia as this is the latest configuration we picked for Malaysia market. Therefore after we include the production period, etc, it will only arrive around mid of November.

SheepKilledMe: The GT780DX comes with 2 years warranty, with the first year covered internationally. The difference? You can claim warranty in any part of the world as long as there's MSI there for International. After the 1 year period, you got no choice RMA it in Malaysia only.

cofin: previously Courts do have stock. I'll double check whether they still have it or not.

LotsaFuns: Yes, pretty much confirmed.

Even if you need me to retain a unit for you in our dealers side, we are glad to assist you. You just need to let us know how to serve your well. biggrin.gif
