fatjoe13, i assume that you purchased your unit oversea. perhaps another extra information here for MSI users. All accessories including adaptor can only be purchased through our ASP. and MSI do cover adaptor in their 2 years warranty. so in this case, you can refer to the link below and call to our ASP for pricing enquiry.
http://my.msi.com/product/nb/GE620DX-FHD.h...v=Specification

willman, I'll double check with our PM whether we got demo unit or not. and it's GT683DX and GT780DX. Yes you are correct about the pricing.

willman, between the GT780DX and GT683DX, it's the same. Only that one is 17" with Steelseries Keyboard. Also the design is a bit different. And the price difference is not really hugh. So if you are into 17", i guess GT780DX is a good choice.

fatjoe13, our ASP do sells adapters and since we are bringing in GT780DX, i guess you should be able to get it. ASP = authorized service provider, which is a third party service. i'll check for you on the pricing. but do take not it won't be cheap. lol.

Reidz,
If you want to use Raid, you need to flash the bios to raid bios. To flash the bios, the best way is the create a bootable thumbdrive. Kindly refer to the article below on how to create a bootable thumbdrive. Then download the bios and extract it to the root of the thumbdrive. Plug in the thumbdrive, start your machine and continuesly click on F11. Then select to boot the thumbdrive and type flash. Then the flashing will begins.

I guess the HDD would bottleneck? Since the SSD would need to wait the HDD..

Correct, and i did feel the bottleneck to be honest. When i test the GT780R. I need to put the DotA files in SSD drive, if not, it will lag if placed in HDD.

Dear Guys,
As a lot of you is anticipating the arrival of GT780DX which we once said ETA in mid November, we are afraid the shipment will drag until end of November. Reason is simple, the lack of materials especially HDD. So to give a clear picture of it's arrival, before this the GT780DX is scheduled to fly in on 14th November but is not pushed to 19th November. Let's hope our production factory won't push the date any further. And once again, due to the lack of materials, we only managed to secure 4 units to Malaysia for this shipment. So this is what we are going to do. Since Lowyat.NET is the first "place" we market this GT780DX, priority will be given to Lowyat.NET users. Those who wants to pre-order the 4 units kindly PM me with the given template. Once it arrived, i'll tell you how the process is going to be. We are going to give out some freebies to make up for this inconveniences.

Order: GT780DX
Name:
Nickname:
HP:
Location:

PS: one unit is reserved to beeem already as he already contacted us early of the month.

demonicslayer,
Here you go.
http://my.msi.com/product/nb/GE620DX-FHD.h...v=Specification - RM3299
http://my.msi.com/product/nb/GE620DX.html#...v=Specification - RM2999

The RM2999 version is the old model and has been replaced by the FHD version. But dealers still has the RM2999 version and is clearing it out.

Karimhus89,
It's first com first serve. Currently out of the 4 unit 1 has been booked. Therefore 3 more to go. Btw, beeenn pulled out of the order. If you want to purchase during that date, the best is through this pre order.

Just to ask, would you pay an extra RM1000 just to get GTX580M over GTX570M? I myself wouldn't.

Not to completely shut down the GTX580M door completely, this is what the best MSI Malaysia can do.

GT783 Preorder
After some feedback, we decided to launch a Pre Order for those who wants an ultimate gaming notebook powered by one of the most powerful Graphics Card, GTX580M. As mentioned before, the price for GTX580M is around USD300 more compared to GTX570M. Therefore the price is on the high side. For this pre-order, we will only bring in if it hits 5 units of order. And customer is to pay 50% deposit upfront. After the MOQ is met, the shipment will arrive around 3-4 weeks.

GT783 [17.3", 1920 x 1080, Intel HRV i7-2670, NVIDIA GTX580M 2GB DDR5, 8GB, 750GB 7200RPM, Dynaudio Sound, SteelSeries Gaming Keyboard with Backlight, Win7 Premium] - RM6499

PS: I hope Lowyat.NET is ok with this kind of pre-order as our aim is to fulfill potential customer dream to get a notebook equipped with GTX580M.
