irangan,
Thanks for sharing. And thanks for the compliment. Hehe..

emy_xvidia,
From our previous edition, the GT780R which is equipped with Intel SSD, you do not need any additional component to slot it in.

Dear all, Snowguy, xDingx, AwaN87
Regarding our GE620DX-FHD, mostly has been sold out both in our dealer and disti side. I'll try to consolidate which dealer still has stock this coming Tuesday. As for the new GE620DX-FHD equipped with GT635M, it will be shipped out within next week and expected to hit the market the 2nd week of January, 2012.

The remaining GT780 has been sold out. Thanks to Lowyat.NET community. The next shipment ETA is 2nd-3rd week of Jan. As for the GT783, the pre-order need at least 5 order before we can log an order. So i think it's pretty far from reach.

GT783 Preorder
After some feedback, we decided to launch a Pre Order for those who wants an ultimate gaming notebook powered by one of the most powerful Graphics Card, GTX580M. As mentioned before, the price for GTX580M is around USD300 more compared to GTX570M. Therefore the price is on the high side. For this pre-order, we will only bring in if it hits 5 units of order. And customer is to pay 50% deposit upfront. After the MOQ is met, the shipment will arrive around 3-4 weeks. However, if one who are desperate to own this beast and would not like to wait for MOQ, you need to pay a PREMIUM price to purchase it.

GT783 [17.3", 1920 x 1080, Intel HRV i7-2670, NVIDIA GTX580M 2GB DDR5, 8GB, 750GB 7200RPM, Dynaudio Sound, SteelSeries Gaming Keyboard with Backlight, Win7 Premium] - RM6499 (Pre Order with MOQ)
GT783 [17.3", 1920 x 1080, Intel HRV i7-2670, NVIDIA GTX580M 2GB DDR5, 8GB, 750GB 7200RPM, Dynaudio Sound, SteelSeries Gaming Keyboard with Backlight, Win7 Premium] - RM7499
(Pre Order without MOQ)

Note: Please take note that it's only your choice whether you want to purchase with MOQ or without MOQ. MSI Malaysia do not advice one to go for the non-MOQ option as the extra cost you are paying most of it will go to DHL and processing fee. So don't take this as a wrong way.

et_box,
The GE620DX-FHD has been replaced by GE620DX-675. Perhaps you can consider the GE620DX-675?

Thanks astria and viruz for the help,
For Malaysia notebook spec, you can actually goto my.msi.com and browse through the search bar. Here is the link for all our GE620 models. Actually the naming of GE620DX-FHD and GE620DX-675 can only be found in Malaysia page as only we separate them in different naming scheme. As for purchases, MSI Malaysia is not selling and we are not allowed to. What i'm doing merely is directing the end user where to purchase it depending on the location and the stock availability in reseller/dealers side. Cheers.

Here is how it works, at least for Malaysia Service Provider.
Once they find out your warranty sticker has been tampered, they will check whether the memory is upgraded or not. If it's upgraded, then proceed to warranty. So if the sticker is tampered due to upgrading of Memory and HDD, do not worry about voiding the warranty.

viruz019,
You go no choice but to do a mirror image copy. The F3 recovery image can only be found via our ASP. It comes with the whole OS bundle. So you can't install it separately with your own fresh OS and embed it into the OS.

astria,
Unfortunately yes astria. Currently for MSI Malaysia we only allow upgrading of Memory and HDD. But i'll check with my PM if you bring your stuff to ASP and let them upgrade it, will it void the warranty. I hope you can understand that we can't differentiate enthusiast/gurus/new users. For you, i'm pretty sure you can upgrade it yourself without any problem. But for new users, if they damage anything during upgrading process apart of Memory and HDD, it will void the warranty. If i'm not mistaken, only MSI Malaysia allows Memory and HDD upgrading, the rest of the countries only Memory. I managed to convince our boss that if Memory upgrade is allow, it's a no brainer if you do not allow HDD upgrade as it's even simpler than Memory. As for Wifi Adapter, you may need to open up some internal parts depending on the design. I did a Wifi Adapter change before and guess what, it's located behind the lcd panel. It's not really that simple.

For your case, if you warranty your set in Malaysia (under international warranty), we allow Memory and HDD upgrade. For other countries, i'm afraid only Memory. So if you upgraded your HDD, and send warranty to Singapore, they may reject your warranty claim.

razorboy,
I normally hook up customer according to their location. As we are the vendor, we do not sell ourselves. For your gf? you can try check-up the X460DX, there's going to be a promo pricing for that.

hironobu85,
DO NOT HESITATE TO PM MSI-MY if you are having problem with your new unit. We are here to serve you. Btw, you can try flashing the BIOS and Firmware if there's new one available. Sometime it helps!!
