I also bought a KS7000 display set from Best 1 U for Rm 4k. Samsung technicians also came and changed a new panel at the shop itself (the display panel was slightly defective) before I inspected and paid for it when fully satisfied.

But no extended warranty though.

At home I checked the hidden service menu and estimate the unit was switched on about 8 months if I presume they work 10 hours a day. Before that the salesman said the set was on display for only 3 mths although I didn't really believe him. That's why he's a salesman

Any IR Blaster equipped phone also can do it. Or find a old Samsung TV remote (or those BD remote with samsung TV switch on top)

I have a Samsung BD player so the remote can work with my KS7000

iPhone 100% no IR blaster hahaha.

Mate 9 iinm got, you can try load an app to emulate your samsung TV remote, then blast the combination LOL.

Found 55KS7000 at 5.1K ... worth it ? But there is no extended warranty offered ... only the standard 2 years manufacturer warranty.

I suggest you only buy a HDR TV only when necessary. Better wait until your old TV needs to be replaced then buy. If you are buying because of the hype, then you might be disappointed.

Even the current 8 bit colour TVs contents today are still not fully utilising the available colour range. Currently due to the push by manufacturers, we are seeing more contents in 10bits HDR (Real of Fake).

But in time , I suspect the hype will die down, and slowly the contents will remain mostly 8 bit color.

Here's a sample from youtube 4K HDR demo. Even your old 8 bit non-HDR TV will be able see how colourful the images are, even though you won't be getting true HDR or 4K (depending on your line speed).

My point is even with 8 bit TV, the images look fantastic so is HDR really that big a step forward as we are led to believe? I know HDR is more than just colour range, it's about Brightness too, but such scenes only happens sparingly.

I'm also very surprised its out of stock. If they told me earlier, limited or gonna discontinue, I could have place deposit and secure an unit first.

Their demo sucks! Picture ain't sharp, color not smooth... After discount Price is RM8999 from RM9999 (more pricy than the rest).

You still have 5 years warranty to cover you. Even you can get 1-1 replacement if they cant repair it.

don't forget the time you'll have to wait for the warranty claim/repair/replacement

Any guys using KS7500 notice that the one connect hdmi 1n 2 can only detect hdr input but hdmi 3 n 4 cant.

I got offered from someone selling Q7F 55' for RM7,500 new unit. With that kind amount of money, should I go for Q7F or LG OLED instead? Both display looks extremely charming though.

1. What movie or graphic or setting should I use it to test?
2. If my player is 3D-enabled and playable, but my TV is not. Can I still watch 3D movies?

Please advise.

Played Hobbit recently, the sharpness and the pores of Gandalf so sharp and crisp.
