okay, i can help u but i dont rly understand what are u saying here, so if u have digicam or phonecam, pls some photos showing all the defected area...
Now i need some tuning here...the pedal is well worn off! so i need to consider to change it...
ok, done. change the pedal.
2ndly is the bass drum skin...the one facing inside is kinda wave look alike already...even i screw it tightly also cannot make it flat...
change the drumhead.
the snare drum is totally out...cant make any draw...the vibration is all out!
maybe the snare wires putus alrdy. u can check the screws (its actually called tension rods) and maybe there are some screws missing. replace them.
the stool squeeks!
maybe WD40 can make those sound go away.
cymbals, hi-hat and crash need polish...but the crew of the cymbal and crash cracked! need replacement, is there available in music instrument store?
WOH FATT is your best bet for the replacement. bring the original and compare it first there before u buy.
left the 3 toms are alright only...
alright....thats the intro...now i need u guys to educate me...what should i do first?
i think the first thing is to change the drumhead to a new one. then, replace all the missing tension rods. and if u have spare time, buy Autosol from hardware store and use toothbrush to remove all the rust on the hardware.
can i change the drum skin other than the reowned brand?
can. Evans drumhead is abit pricey but they are good. Remo is much cheaper and they are good too. They even have cheaper version which is Made in Taiwan. So, its all depend on your budget.
and the front bass drum skin can use as the back one and i put the spoiled one infront?
can... if you dont care abt how your drums look.
please educate me please...thanks in advance!
on the other note, please visit my .Drum Blog
to have some idea in refurbishing an old-rusty drums
