If you watch the top players livestream at 1800+ elo, most of them stack doran, stacking doran is a huge investment similar to buying mejai or buy a red elixir at the beginning of the game, it give you a huge advantage early in the game, but doran stacking is not a planned built, only stack doran if u are forced to back to base at around 500 gold and don't rush selling doran unless u are forced to or else it will defeat the whole purpose of doran stacking at the first place

got many players at my levels stacking doran (ormal Q...i'm at w/l break point), especially ashe with blade. haven't seen ring stacker tho

If flying spaghetti monster's LoL Community is better than the DoTA's community, then I think I will actually swap to flying spaghetti monster. Thats taking into account they have lower ping and lets me enjoy an overall smoother game. Not to mention alot of us in LYN can be their sifu or something xD

Stacking Dorans is a situational thing. If my Teemo isn't doing very well and is forced to go home often. I will stack Dorans for better survivability and ganking capability from the extra HP/AD. It's much better than to have nothing in my slots other than boots until the 10 minute mark.
