That's why you appear late into the teamfight after they've blown all their CC on the tank/other teammates. NEVER INITIATE AS YI/ANY OTHER CARRY, that's the tank/offtank's job. Also, please follow up when the tank initiates. There's a special hell waiting for you morons who all run away at full health when the tank initiates.

I remember playing Teemo once and leading their whole team in a merry-go round in the jungle. They all walked into 5 shrooms I think, Nunu went from half life to 2 blocks left. Then Yi jumped in and killed everyone. PENTAKILL.

If you are laning and end up having to recall before you can buy bf sword , it is bettter to stack doran blade than being squishy champ that does not damage, If you do the math, a doran item cost about 800 gold except with the facts that it can't be upgraded into another item, so a trist or twitch with 3 doran blade have more health than a tank in mid game and a decent amount of lifesteal and damage is pretty handy for laning. I usually buy 4 doran rings and sorcerer boots for lux and farm for 1600 needlessly large rod and its pretty good, but i don't recommend stacking doran blades for champion like Miss Fortune because she require lots of mana unlike trist or twitch, so better get manamune or chalice instead.

Like any soft carry, Timing is everything.

With just Ghostblade, Inifinity and Starks, you can easily tank 2-3 champs while eating the squishy (not taking into account suppression spells)

Yi can engage if you are confident that you can burst the squishy down in 2-3 secs (easily achievable).

Once you killed the squishy, your skills reset and that allows you to Alpha to the next squishy.

By doing so, you will not be targetable for anohter 1+ second.

During all this, you team will be around and hopefully your tank will draw attention within the critical seconds

The magic word of the day: Cleanse

You can also Mercury if needed.

If you have good tanks, Yi can just pump dmg and some lifesteal to carry nicely.

If not, the magic item here is Banshee Veil.

With Crit Dmg Runes & Armor Pen Runes, Yi will own with just Ghostblade for dmg and Banshee Veil for HP + Mercury+Cleanse for epic chasing ownage!

Philosopher's Stone is an item that alot of ppl ignore & it works wonder for Yi as he can get it easily before lvl3 (non solo lane).

With it, he can semi forest and walk around to assist with Alpha+Exhaust.

Try this built:
1)Faerie + 1healthpot
2)Philosopher's Stone + Shoe
3)Avarice + Brutalizer
4)Ghostblade + Emblem + Catalyst + Upg Shoe
5)Starks + Banshee
6)Inifinity
7)Phantom or Bloodrazor or Archangel or Bloodthirster (all depends who you are against)

You can ignore Veil if you have a good cc tank and go dmg crazy.

imho, u need a good tank/tanks to carry the whole team.. and a team with brains to know what to do is important too...

A good tank, but sucky teamates sucks bad too.

A good champ killer.. with sucky tanks and some sucky teamates is rendered useless too.

Funny that at lvl 30 there's still plenty of such in solo queue... wonder if flying spaghetti monster would change that when all of us are Asians playing? =/

Knowing the SEA mentality ? Expect the smart player to be the last one to lock-in (or not at all) and the rest lock in a carry/hard carry immediately and everyone of them will argue over who gets mid.

I don't think there'll be an argument on who gets mid.

More like people just simple go to mid no matter who they use.

Such is life in LoL USA.
I expect it to be much worse in Guhreyna.

I don't play tank anymore in solo queue because no one follows up after you initiate anyway. At least if I pick Tyrn or another non-tank I CAN KILL SOMEONE. Maybe once in a blue moon when the stars and heavens align then you'll get a team that ACTUALLY STICKS TOGETHER.

Don't worry about the opposite team, they're always perfect premades with optimal teamwork no matter what.

I think stacking Doran's Shield is not that good but I haven't tried it b4 so idk

not just shield, maybe 1/2 shield + 1 sword

Ppl usually stack doran ring and sword, never seen shield stacker though, i guess because it sux

if ur team is going well then shudnt be a problem. What if your team is NOT doing well? every cent and dollar is even more important that time and having the right items in your inventory can sometimes be a tide turner. Having WRONG items? expect disaster at an even more EPIC level..
