agreed with both above.

The only keyboard that is 300 below will be Blackwidow Expert.

All Keyboard that are from foreign country are with better quality and sturdy durable exterior and interior.(no offense to Razer fans)
are mostly RM300 Above.

True, thats why I changed all my Razer stuff. Thats true that Razer's QC is suck. Built quality not as good as most of any other.
Well, from what i felt, it's more like a jackpot or lottery purchase, if you're lucky, you'll get something like a very good quality keyboard without having some problem at all.
But if you're unlocky, you'll gonna go into a RMA Lottery again, praying they give you a better keyboard, or you'll gonna RMA again and again and again.

Btw, Latest News from Leopold is that The Keyboard will be arriving at Malaysia At the end of February. Might be available to you guys at March.

I'll try to contact few shop or sellers here to consider selling Leopold Keyboard...

I'll try to confirm the date and give you guys more information by that time.

Any seller here? Or must go to the shop only can get?
Well, i'll try to contact if any shop is willing to carry Leopold product.(either is their local shop or their online shop)
Because i'll be "Eh hem" Leopold Keyboard Supplier in Malaysia.

If all is successful, you can easily find forumers or local shops in Malaysia to purchase the keyboard.

For Warranty issue, I'll have a discussion with them, but i think you can either claim warranty directly from me or from the shop that you purchase.

Btw, please do bear in mind that mechanical keyboard are actually very rare to have issues that needs to claim warranty. But if you guys wanted to know, RMA rate for Mechanical Keyboard, Blue Switch are the highest RMA rate between Black Brown and Blue.(because of the interior part that makes clicky sound as well as tactile bump feels.(But remember as i say before, Mechanical Keyboard Rarely Has Issues).

For People that wanted to claim Warranty, Mechanical Keyboard are actually able to repair very very fast(Depends on the Keyboard Condition).
If it's a switch issue, all that we need to do is just to replace the switch only, which is very fast process.

Haha, initially interested but no longer, waiting for Leopold RED switch come in, that 1 more tempting, linear non-clicky with 45g, holy.

However, after get that sure post in GS to sell my 7G, only got 1 desktop, no point to use 2 keyboard.

@Cyclone
The Leopold achieve NKRO? With ps2 port or with usb to ps2 converter, or it can achieve with USB (sounds low probability)
If it cant, i considering to keep my 7G to play SDO and o2 Mania.
*
Yes, the keyboard can archive NKRO under USB to PS2 converter, for USB, i still haven't tried.

Currently busy with my rig, been facing alot of problem lately. PC broken for 2 month, need to go cybercafe to use computer, Bring my Mechanical Keyboard to Cybercafe seems like a gay option, alot people keep looking at my keyboard.

What's with the hype with leopold keyboards? Are they the direct replacements of filcos? Or a much better one??
I think I'll be getting the tesoro m7 since there have been good reviews for it
*
Their Quality is on Par with each other, just the internal circuit boards are different design as well as appearance.

For Tesoro M7, if i read it in other forum, it is actually a rebadged version of actual XArmor U9BL Mechanical Keyboard.

The blue cube look so great, but the input and the output just like the normal converter just add another big cube in between?

O ya

@cyclone
Any news about leopold.
*
currently for now, nope, as i'm quite busy with my pc rig problem, waiting for replacement mobo to be send back to me.

lazy to read. does all mechanicals have anti-ghosting?
hows the 6gv2 on typing anyway? is the best is brown, how come all mechanical gaming uses black? sorry the terminology is not understandable because never used.
*
sorry, but please read this Guide as this is the best explaination and let you knows all about mechanical keyboard and it's switches.

For Anti-Ghosting, it is also known as NKRO which is called N-Key Rollover, some keyboard has limitation of 2 keys maximum hold, so it called 2KRO and so on.

Not all keyboard has Anti-ghosting/NKRO.

QUOTE(shueking @ Jan 30 2011, 10:06 PM)
Mechanical Keyboards are really over priced.
*
personally, i would said is, don't claim it's overprice unless you really understand the product interior.

Try dissemble both a membrane and mechanical keyboard and see it's interior and compare between Membrane and Mechanical Keyboard. Then you'll understand what is overprice.

after you look at membrane keyboard and understand it's low cost, will you be paying RM100+ for something similar interior as RM10 Keyboard?(this is overprice because you know the interior isn't worth that much)

If you dissemble a Mechanical Keyboard, and watch all the interior hardware parts, you won't be saying it's overprice. as ones saying, don't judge a book by its cover. If you dare to say RM10 Keyboard functions the same as those RM300 Mechanical Keyboard, Please go ahead and use those RM10 keyboard, no one is forcing you to buy.

This mechanical keyboard is a privileges for comfort typing as well as a keyboard that we could depend on without concern that one day it would cause any problem or key malfunction.

These Mechanical Keyboard are mainly for industrial use(Factories uses them) because of their high durability and sturdy design. As example as Steelseries 7G Keyboard that Moogle posted the video about a Truck running over a Keyboard. This is a demonstration that mechanical keyboard can take on beating and abuse and still being perform it's functions without any problem.

quite interested with the adjustable response mechanism. x2,x4,x8

personally not very interested with this features, as this is something like mouse response rate. mouse need it because most of the time response time was needed in mouse tracking to report back to computer. As for Keyboard, i don't think this would actually have any advantage.

I tried cherry mx black. Confirmed most people won't like. I don't doh.gif it's very hard.

When you press it, it fights to press back at you.

Whereas my Cherry mx browns on the ducky, i can press and hold it down easily. I liked that.
*
well, you're over exaggerating that Black switch is really really really hard. it's not it fights to press back you. it's only 15 grams differences.

Btw, if you're already press down and hold with force, does it really that hard just to hold the button? = =||| i don't understand.

Personally i rather have a harder switches so i can rest my finger on top of my keyboard rather than having to move my hands from my keyboard inorder to continue browsing.

Especially since your distroing for Leopold, this is a good opportunity to lure others into the keyboard poison scene  nod.gif
*
well, i''m currently considering about using my own budget to provide 4 demo units which has blue, black, brown, red switches so people can test them out, either they come to find me in taiping or organize a meeting somewhere around in kl like a mechanical keyboard gathering. tongue.gif

May be RAZER had prepare certain batch that is specially for review purpose(as you claimed that they give it to you because you are a journalist, and i dont think they dare to giving inferior product to you as the journalist certainly had some influence(except to fanboi doh.gif )).
*
Razer have records of no quality checks, so i highly believe these "Specially built for review purpose/journalist" Keyboard do exist.

I think mechanical keyboards in Malaysia are overpriced.

depends on price tag, if it's RM400 above, it's overpriced, if it's RM300~400, it's consider acceptable and retail price are also in that range.
