Nope I don't have squeaky chrome problem nor the loose feel. Maybe it's subjective, but the light feel it has may have put you to thinking it's a defect cause it's not as chunky as the iPhone.



Hey guys, Froyo has the helicopter view in TWlauncher. Very nice! I got 1540 with Voodoo lagfix on JP6. Not impressive, but realtime performance seems a lot faster than the quadrant value.
General use is as fast as JM8/9 (w/2224 quadrant), but I see a tad faster performance in Froyo when it boils down to 100+ apps.

Battery life is good, I didn't restore my apps last night so I don't have batterylife, but when I woke up this morning (after probably 6 hours of standby) battery less by about 5% only. Not bad.

I flashed JP6 twice, the first time I lost market and I don't know how to restore it, tried factory wipe but still not there. So I flashed again.

Went through:
Flash ODIN JM8 (w/ repartition 512.pit)
Flash ODIN JP6 (w/o repartition 512.pit)
Flash ChainFire root (PDA only CF-Root-JP6-v1.2-Busybox-1.17.1.zip)
Flash Voodoo lagfix (PDA only Voodoo 5 pre6)

I just realised I have been Voodoo free for the whole day (shows that Froyo has been a good girl so far ) Weird, I deleted "disable lagfix" file from Voodoo directory, how come still disabled? How to enable it? I need to Odin flash it?

I use it, not frequent. Nope no need internet. It's basically a program that lets you command the phone what you want to do with it like opening apps.

Oh crap, I think froyo just busted... It's been super laggy since a few hours back..especially after closing apps..it hangs for 10 secs at least before showing widgets.. I've installed voodoo..even typing right now is not smooth... Sigh...

Nope, actually Desire HD is with Adreno 205 which is about the same performance wise like the PowerVR SGX 535.
Hummingbird is equipped with PowerVR SGX 540.

I got that too when first flashed Froyo, JP6 to be exact. Very laggy, I was using TW and lots of folders. Everytime after closing an app I get black screen then blank home screens.
After re-flashing again and getting rid of Voodoo, weird it's super fast now but quadrant test scored 970 only.

We might own one of the best android in the world after this is accomplished.

They should also be going into GPS softwares and microphone softwares... Those are another big blunders in SGS.

I imagine it will be like the 3D gallery in Froyo la... Hope they do what they plan to do.

You just have to backspace the label (that will label your app) until it's cleared. That should do. And also, I suggest you insert Touch Effect as None.

I am using Doc_Kalpik V5.1f. It's been stable and responsive so far. Got couple of force closes during first few reboot, but it's all gone now. I am comfortable with it.

I've only used the phone for a week.

My data charges for the first 2 days was not under data plan and they charged me over 1k for it, suspecting me of using 230MB+? This is unbelievable!


Hey guys, in v5, there are a few people with overcharged bills from Maxis right? (emino and others...)

How do you guys solve this? And did Maxis overcharge again?
I am going to Maxis centre to settle this.
