I think 3G watchdog is pretty accurate. Maxis has the tendency to screw up your data usage. In my case, the first 3 days they say I used 235MB and they prorate my bandwidth limits to 3 days. Meaning 500MB limits prorate to 3 days is 16MB a day only. Imagine how much is that. 235MB over 16MB. The bill was over 1k. Thing is I never used 3G that much! Crazy Maxis.
And NO, you can ask for your bandwidth count. I called and immediately they gave me my details.
