QUOTE(llk @ Nov 6 2010, 12:54 AM) How can you used wifi to assist on GPS if you are in your car or our outside wifi area? I think it is nothing to do with either wifi or 3G unless you are using Google map. I mean when it's locking in. When I am in wifi area, it locks my position faster. When I am outside and starting up Papago, it takes longer to lock in. Hmm, I don't know if they even co relate or not but it seems that way to me.

QUOTE(frankgan @ Nov 6 2010, 10:43 PM) Hi guys, What kernel do y'all use when you flash to Doc's v7.5 / 7.6? When I look at the instruction, it was saying to flash the custom kernel before installing the rom from CWM. That means the Doc's rom should be using the kernel that I flashed before installing the rom? or the rom itself will replace it to another kernel? Besides, what if I wanted to change it to another kernel after I flashed to the Doc's rom? Flash it straight in ODIN? Or do I have to reinstall everything from JM9 to JPM to custom kernel to Doc's rom all over again? Sorry but the instruction posted on doc's site was very minimal in info and I lazy to flip about 500 pages thanks in advance Nope, it's a full rom, including kernel, and he stated that he included hardcore's H1-250Hz kernel, so you just have to flash the rom from CWM and you're good to go. If you want a different kernel later, just flash from Odin. You don't need to wipe or restore.

QUOTE(frankgan @ Nov 6 2010, 11:46 PM) I assume that I'll just need to flash the kernel as the pda in Odin, without partition and any other things right? I somehow saw it in Doc's site, it says to upgrade the kernel in recovery? whats that? Yup, in Odin, PDA only without anything else. Upgrade kernel in recovery? I don't see that.

@Frankgan, I never flash kernel from recovery. Just flash .tar files in Odin. No it wont wipe your apps. Just flash the one you want.

@sidewinderz, when I flash stock JPO I got that problem aso. Notification bar can't be pulled down but after factory reset its fine again.
Hey guys that use Doc's v7.6 rom, I don't know if it's my apps or the rom itself, but I find it memory hog all the time. I usually don't go above 200/341mb on JP6. But this one I almost everytime reach 280 and above. Then it slows down a bit. It will automatically close down launcher pro, and when I click home, launcher pro restarts again and I have to wait like 30 seconds for it to be smooth again.

Nope you need CWM to flash Doc's rom. Easiest way to get CWM is by installing rom manager from market and flash CWM from there.
