I found out that starting from WOLTK, there's no need to install your WoW in sequence, WoW Vanilla -> Burning Crusade -> WOLTK.

It seems that startinf rom WOLTK, it automatically contains the whole Game Client which includes the previous expansion. This seems to be the case for Catalysm as well. Thus the full client is only about 10GB.

If the above case is true, then the installer from Battle.net is sufficient, which also contain about 10GB of the whole game.

I've decided to download the ISO file from somewhere else... since I cannot get maximum speed from Blizzard =/.

By the way, I've also read that Catalysm has encrypted the realmlist.wtf. Since you guys still can play, I assume it's still working?

Try download all before start switching to tw server?

i mean all of th wow client including expansion.

that what i do before i start changing wtf file to tw server. I download the client from wow US Official side too

safer that way.

1. Where did you download your WoW Client? Battle.net?
2. How did update your client
3. What is your client version as of now?

did you run wow.exe in the wow folder or u tried to use the wow launcher in the desktop?

i used the wow on the desktop

and i dl it from bnet
its 4.06 as of now

No problem opening the wtf file with notepad.

ah you need to run the wow.exe in the wow program folder lar.
the wow launcher on the desktop, you only run that when your realmlist is WOW USA and you need to update your wow english client.

This is true. Run the game from wow.exe in your wow folder.

Hmm i'm running through the WoW launcher (ala default shortcut of WoW on desktop) and i still able to play :S maybe due to the correct setting i put in the realmlist.wtf

Don't overcomplicated for the newbie. Running the wow.exe is the best way of going into wow due to the change of realmlist.

Actually the loader has a benefit, that is it will check for spywares before hand. This is like security beneifts.

If the loader doesn't work, you will need to use WoW.exe, which directly launch into the game. That is normal.

The server is stupidly lack now, so loading slow might not be your problem. Be patient.

Worgen hunter seems nice.

If u dun feel like playing a hunter with range, try a warrior.

Usually healer or tanker.

Healer can be: Paladin, Priest, Druid, or Shaman

Tanker can be:Paladin, Druid, Warrior, or DK
