Writing files may require permission but for reading I don't think so.
Using preenv we'll just be reading/using the files.

Already tied recopying the files twice,reinstalling the preenv & checked the direcory.Everything seems to be in working order but the app not functioning.
My last plan is to remove everything & start from scratch again.

Probably virus from your windows based computer.
Most of the time windows virus don't do anything to Linux based device.You can simply delete it.

EDIT: Just tried removing the data files, and transferring with MC but did not tick the 'keep attributes' option when transferring files. Got segmentation error. Upon recopying with the box ticked, its working again. Its def something to do with the file attributes ( sorry for using the misleading term permissions earlier, tongue.gif ) being changed when transferring via SSH.

Build week 36 means exactly the same as leaked PR.I'm going to wait for the manual flasher version.Anyone going for the OTA update?

Yes.The guide is pretty much correct.I'll try to simplify it & update it.
But I cannot distribute the games since it's not free/open source.

For testing purpose the devs actually use a weird way of booting MeeGo.
Basically what I do is copy the meeGo image to SD card & flash the kernel via flasher.The phone will automatically boot to MeeGo but only once.
Once it's restarted you'll go back to maemo.

No proper dual booting like Maemo/NITDroid

No prob.Because I see too many messages like "pm me with the link" & "add me to your dropbox".
We attract too much attention with this kind of post.

People asking to initiate the games from MyDocs instead of /home/user/applications/ ?
I think it's possible because both the directory is from eMMC.But most probably the writer for preenv have to modify the script 1st.

I'm not really big fan of NSU/OTA because got some irreparable damage case when the update fails.
Lets give it time till wednesday.If it's still not released by then maybe we should go for the NSU method.

I can confirm for you that hildon-desktop has been officially fixed in PR 1.3
About titans kernel I've no idea but should work because I doubt any major change done to the omap kernel.
But really,it's pain in the @$$ to configure everything all over again laugh.gif

It's an unofficial news that PR 1.3 will have week 41 build.Maybe Nokia will just make this PR the only official build for 1.3?

The error is perfectly fine.
It happens because windows cannot read any folder having name like ".xxx"
Just proceed to copy the resultant folder.

C'mon...Javis created this immediately after webOS SDK was released.I'm pretty sure lot more improvement can be made over some dedicated time.
This version of preenv is actually just a prove of concept that webOS using some same SDK part as Maemo.Since it works so well he just released it public.

1st of all you must understand why it's possible to run webOS games in Maemo.It's because there is some similarities in the SDK(Standard Development Kit) plus the OS system itself has some similarities.
This is the main reason why the games works extremely well.

Even if there is Android simulator we probably have to OC to higher clock to play the games without stuttering.

iPhone emulators?First of all in order to get iOS SDK you need to register for some crap & all.Plus if I'm not mistaken you need to pay for it also.
Doubt anyone will do that just for the sake of emulators.
