hello TimelineX users ^^ im 4820TG user since Oct, 2010. quick question:

anyone using KVR DDR3-1333 4 GB for 4820TG? any blue screen or unstable? i wanted to upgrade to 8 GB to play Crysis 2 coz 2 GB got abit lag & slow when loading data from hard disk, obviously there's insufficient RAM bandwidth.

Feedback: i dun understand y acer notebook that is 4 GB comes with 2 pieces of 2 GB RAM instead of 1 piece of 4 GB RAM, like that waste customer's money to replace the 2 pieces of 2 GB if wanna upgrade to the maximum 8 GB RAM.

I am using 4gb duno which brand, but no blue screen... dont think Crysis 2 need 8GB to play ler... i just browse around, even "Highly recommended" system just require 4GB... http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1586861

Ya, my notebook came with 4gb, but it's in 2x2GB, it sucks... but my guess is that, since some model come with only 2GB, they probably only buy 2GB piece in bulk to save cost...

Anyway, notice the skin texture, DX11 really has better quality...

Crysis 2 ? im on 4gb , yet it lags

tried the demo only though , not sure about the real game

stock clocks, unplayable delayed lag on gamer setting

DA2 high texture pack is awesome !!!

some guys is talking about 4830t launch event do you guys know the specs and price?

hai guys... I bought Acer 4820TG and ADD 2GB become 4GB, I wonder why it show 3.68GB usable? RAM 3.7GB (rounding) also show at Adobe After effect...

This look like the driver you should install! It will install latest Intel driver (which will solve your MSN crash problem) as well as the Catalyst 11.2! As a bonus, it will update your realtek driver as well!

Added on March 23, 2011, 9:07 amdont worry about it. you do have 4GB but Windows can only use 3.68GB of out it. the rest is being used by other hardware such as PCI, Graphic Card, etc... just like the rest of us. as of now (properly forever?), there is really nothing you can do about it.

Oh... I also think about Memory reserved for Intel and AMD GPU switching process... seem After Effect require more ram zzzz

I am about to complete the Act 2 of Dragon Age 2! At this rate, it is possible that I will complete the whole game and Catalyst 11.3 still in QA!

For 3820TG uses with Atheros Wireless card, there is a new driver released by Acer:

here is the changelog:

1.Fixed BSOD/yellow mark happen in Virtual WiFi interface.
2.Updated INF file that ready for PCIE-1.2 LED Spec.
3.Fixed HB93 got system hang while AdHoc connected and idle.
4.Fixed HB95 system halt during card disable or un-installation.
5.Disabled 11n support for both Russia/Ukraine.

obviously it fix something, but it may not applicable to me (or you)... so, if your wifi work just fine, u probably not missing anything if you are not updating...

Just like the audio driver, the default Windows driver work just fine, I duno why I installed the latest Realtek driver, I dont 'hear' any difference... i m still suspecting that the new Realtek driver slow down my boot up time by a few miliseconds...

Hi. I wanna ask 1 question. I have a 3820tg but my problem is i cannot play games like warcraft at full screen. under the ccc option theres no configure that i can click. Only identify. Theres no option to scale to full screen when playing games. But then with intel hd, the option to scale to full screen is there. why le? if not 6550m no use cannot play full screen >.<!

Change your resolution first to lower than 1366x768, then go to the CCC, under the My Built-in Displays, Properties (Built-in Display), change scaling to Full Screen. Then change back the resolution.

i used to play warcraft 3 a lot, but never had problem running in full screen... i didnt even change anything in CCC...

however, i always like to change Warcraft 3 resolution to higher than what you can set in-game by modifying the registry to 1366x768:

1. Click start, type "Regedit"
2. Go to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III\Video"
3. Double click "resheight", select "Decimal", type "768", OK
4. Double click "reswidth", select "Decimal", type "1366", OK

May be that will help with your problem....

install Apply Wc3 WideScreen go google search it. double click next time u play war3 is 1366x768 no need go regedit so mafan.. play pub games at GG.com add me "khanmein"

u mean gg client? i used to play that... i thought i was good with war3, i play a few times with some dude in Taiwan server, i got played like a child...

there are not many war3 player, everyone is playing DOTA...

now, still playing Dragon Age 2... battle like 1 hour to kill Arishok...

i mean dota.. war3 i'm not good. alwis use orc play 1 style nia.. many yrs din play.. dulu can buli ppl but if can encounter me faster than can win me. i quite slow.. cowithgun how old r u?
