RRP RM2499 with i5 480M can upgrade the ram immediately provided the store has stock... 2GB should be RM60++, while 4GB should be RM120++... No i7 4820TG in MY, Singapore has it...

but 3820tg only available in i3 rite?
I'm generally not a hardcore gamer... just dota and so... but will leave computers on 24/7 for download purposes... but have work on 3d rendering and autocad... i5 and above would be more preferable?

Pretty much that, either better cpu or lighter weight...
As for the SandyBridge chipset problem, the SATA3 has no problem, only the SATA2 which should be not used since 5750G only has optical drive and hdd, no e-sata...

HD6650 has extra 80SP compared to HD6550, so it should be similar jump like HD4650 to HD5650...

Someone in the acerfans.ru have 4830 in hand for testing..
"3830 while in the hands not kept. 4830 seemed to me a little thinner 4820. Try to get more information on Monday . If all goes well and you have to take a test sample, then the same lay out and pictures."said by the guy.
Might have pictures & test sample on tomorrow..
Added on February 6, 2011, 11:29 pmabout the SB issues:
"Well, there on the Asus. New TimelineX on the facts of mass has not yet started producing. At the moment these laptops are only beginning to certify in different countries. There is every reason to believe that a bug in Intel's chipsets new Acer TimelineX not be affected."

You don't want to do it ? You can do it anytime, provided the recovery partition still there and still got the acer application to burn it...
