Hi. Just to share, I believe whether private or govt, it's the same level of service and experience. Maybe govt is a bit friendly than private.

My first child, born through C-section, cost 9k at Pantai Bangsar.

My second, at PPUM naturally. Paid about 1k.

Attitude from the doctors and nurses, the whole process of the checkups, I would say is a little better than private hospitals.

Private hospitals are more like businesses now. The more patients they take, the more money the shareholders get.

PPUM is not like previous years. It feels more like a semi-govt hospital, with UMSC as their specialist side. Service wise has bee improved a lot over the years.

Just my two cents

Hi guys,

Thank you for all the replies. I've decided to send my wife to Columbia Asia Hospital Bukit Rimau instead of walking in to Putrajaya cos too much uncertainty about slot availability.

2 nights,
induced natural birth,
no epidural,
Pethidine & Laughing Gas
Bill came up to RM 4.9k +/- (twin sharing room)

6 days later Jaundice phototherapy treatment + overnight 1 night for the mum.
Bill came up to RM 1.2k +/- (single bed room)

Hi there, thanks for sharing.

I wonder if you can share more about your experience? Eg which doctor did you see, how professional/friendly were the staff, queue time, privacy/how comfortable was the wards.

I heard that they gave shortage of wards, people had experience staying at hospital beds in the corridor, wonder if it's true.

I'm located at Subang Jaya, so I'm also a bit concerned about the distance, in case of needing to go hospital deliver during peak jammed hours

DR Bheena in PJ Columbia does a great work.
Plenty of rooms in PJ, not crowded at all.
But it's too far for your case.

Doctor : Dr Loo Suat Chin, very good, prepare for long queue during checkups.

The people : Generally they're all very nice and friendly, but there's one nurse who's the panicky and rush here and there type, so she can come of as rude to some ppl. But worry not, she's only in charge of the dr's appointment part.

Ward : they do only have 1 floor for rooms, but availability seems alright. No waiting time nothing, and they have quite a few delivery rooms so don't worry about it.

Traffic : the traffic is usually from Shah Alam towards Subang on Kesas highway(especially the summit entrance) . The other way around seems smooth

Hi we’re considering this hospital as well for caesarean but haven’t decided which doctor to go for. Did the wound heal properly?
How much was the monthly consultation?

Thank you!

For some reason we went back to early check-up(non-delivering issue) at 7th day.
Doctor peal off the wound and it's already contacted.
Today is second month and it's looking good.
Go for Dr.Bheena, strongly recommended.
Each charges would be around RM120-RM140.
