I have restarted the phone twice, and the default battery indicator as well as 2 widget indicates that the batery is still full.

The last I charged was this morning at 7.40am. Then I used it to answer a few calls and sms with downloading some applications using wifi at the same time. I dont think the battery will still be at 100%

This would made me difficult to determine the status of battery left

depend on the battery life..
for new batt, last 1 bar also can standy few hr...

if battery weak / faulty... last 3 bar then sudden will off / dead..

My N73 change battery not long ago only (around 6 months) but also like that. N95 not that serious, like u said, last 1 bar cab use few hours but battery never change before yet. I think i better dump the N73 already, too much issues. I still keeping in my junk store drawer.

Thank you for emailing Nokia Careline.

We understand that you would like to use the predictive text input of your Nokia N8 in the portrait mode. Please be advised that we have checked and verified that, as of the moment, the predictive text input is especially designed for use in the landscape mode. However, there is a possibility that this feature may be activated in the next update. Please be assured that Nokia is continually looking at ways of improving to provide you with better products and services.

Everyone of you who's got the N8 cannot use the predictive text feature in portrait mode?

Huh? Is that a misunderstanding? T9 right? It can be used in portrait mode... cannot use in landscape.

T9 is meant to be used on keypads (portrait). Why would it be used in landscape QWERTY?

it works for in landscape mode too. but the problem with mine is that when i press lets say, 2(ABC), none of the A, B or C comes out but an E. Or when I press the 1(.,?), a W comes out. So predictive text for me in portrait is totally unusable.

Arista and zitron avaxx set is different. Arista is for corporate customer not direct to end user.

But still no problem if an end user buys an Arista set right? NCC still honours the warranty?

The battery bar cannot be accurate coz the system detect the voltage of the battery... The battery in full or 80% still, the voltage should be still the same....

Sorry, it's available in landscape but not activated by default (quite rightly so, in qwerty, there's no need for T9 haha). It's kinda stranger why the NCC say "the predictive text input is especially designed for use in the landscape mode" ???? T9 is designed for keypad!

Anyway, as for the T9 in portrait mode, it works just fine on my set.
