QUOTE(EXkurogane @ Oct 21 2010, 04:53 PM) In short, i dun trust MIC food and electronics. Haha, i'd day lucky if i can get made in vietnam, or korea, or any country other than China and iddle east (Azerbaijan & Arab), but M'sia doesnt take phones from middle east (far more expensive). Finland ah? No nid say la. M'sia love China products a lot wan. Ambil stock RM 2, RM 3 each, sell RM 20, RM 30 each, untung mah - especially Pasar Malam Clothes!! My uncle is Cina procut wholesaler, he say 1 shirt only RM 3 like that for normal one, more exp one also RM 5 only. thats the problem with malaysia sellers...want to untung more but dont care about quality.... QUOTE(EXkurogane @ Oct 21 2010, 05:16 PM) Haiz N95 is also smartphone, so, N8? is it one? Smartphone means got 3G. If a phone got Wifi but no 3G, it is still not a smart phone (example Nokia C5-03, new phone) Err..wrong. QUOTE The first smartphone was called Simon; it was designed by IBM in 1992 and shown as a concept product[7] that year at COMDEX, the computer industry trade show held in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was released to the public in 1993 and sold by BellSouth. Besides being a mobile phone, it also contained a calendar, address book, world clock, calculator, note pad, e-mail, send and receive fax, and games. It had no physical buttons to dial with. Instead customers used a touch-screen to select phone numbers with a finger or create facsimiles and memos with an optional stylus. Text was entered with a unique on-screen "predictive" keyboard. By today's standards, the Simon would be a fairly low-end product; however, its feature set at the time was incredibly advanced. The Nokia Communicator line was the first of Nokia's smartphones starting with the Nokia 9000, released in 1996. This distinctive palmtop computer style smartphone was the result of a collaborative effort of an early successful and expensive Personal digital assistant (PDA) by Hewlett Packard combined with Nokia's bestselling phone around that time, and early prototype models had the two devices fixed via a hinge. The Nokia 9210 was the first color screen Communicator model which was the first true smartphone with an open operating system; the 9500 Communicator was also Nokia's first cameraphone Communicator and Nokia's first WiFi phone. The 9300 Communicator was the third dimensional shift into a smaller form factor, and the latest E90 Communicator includes GPS. The Nokia Communicator model is remarkable for also having been the most expensive phone model sold by a major brand for almost the full lifespan of the model series, easily 20% and sometimes 40% more expensive than the next most expensive smartphone by any major manufacturer. In 1997 Ericsson released the concept phone GS88,[8][9] the first device labelled as 'smartphone' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smartphone3G =/= smartphone

As you can see there is a sticker on left hand side of the phone that covers the screw, if lets say the sticker peeled off due to wear and tear, can we still claim for warranty? Any transparent sticker to protect this?

QUOTE(BuFung @ Oct 21 2010, 05:27 PM) Since when HK is not part of China??!! what?? 1997?? what? what?? have 3G Wifi mean is a smart phone?? what? OK, maybe i was wrong, because i hear most people saying this same sentence. So, whether it is smartphone or not is not a matter of concern, actually. =.= But yes, many people think touchscreen and phones with qwerty keypad = smartphones, others are not. Yes, HK and China were separate countries if you dont know, till 1997. HK was under British but not China. Until after independence those 2 countries are basically still 2 different countries. Even now HK people who want to cross border to China like Shenzhen thru train still need passport, although HK is under China now. Juz like Our sabah Sarawak la... same case. N8 stock still shortage? Very eager to get mine and i'm worried that those Nokia Centres are selling way above the RRP pricing.
