ask yourself, which camera will u use more for portraits/macro/product shoot? then if u can answer that question, then u know whether to buy or not

i think he's asking which flash mode is best for macro.

i think he's asking whether is it the fill flash mode or slow sync or rear sync mode which causes the a55 to not synchronise with the marumi ring flash?  hmm.gif
*
HAHHAHAA... my point exactly.. 2 different interpretations..

anyway, what u can try is that set your shutter speed below 1/60s, try 1/40s... coz some flashes only able to sync below those speeds. and since 3rd party flashes dont always have HSS, you're stuck with those speeds. not sure with the case of A550 though

tested A55 with 18-55 SAM kit lens kwa kwa at home ....

feel different taste on  e-view finder. If switch to manual and shoot macro in 1:1, is a bit difficult to focus. (maybe i still not familiar
)

ISO noise level is a great improvement compare with my A550.
I tested up to 6400.. noise level still acceptable.
The return of ISO 100 is make me suprise ( should be recv a lot of complains from A550 )

Lightweight, holding design is more suitable for ladies ..

Color saturate is more accurate compare with my A550.

really enjoy on new LCD display.. ( cun than my A550 )

u using a macro lens? how are u getting 1:1 with your 18-55?

VC = IS = OIS = VR but =/= SSS
no wrong, they all to reduce vibration, but the first 4 is in-lense.. and SSS is in-body

i dont understand what u mean by this.. why not?

Added on October 23, 2010, 2:42 pmimportant is at the end of the day, the image you taken with those at lower shutter speeds, will be better compared to those without them..

Which focus should I use if I want the focus to be wide?

Not Spot, Not local, Wide (but wide is auto.. can it be wide + manual?)?
*
what's your point? if u want manual, use local then...

converter is not exactly fisheye.. it mostly just drags the edges and distort it. IQ is unacceptable (for me at least)

save up for a Samyang 8mm

Added on November 9, 2010, 4:15 pmi actually held the 12-24 before, and its freaking heavy for an UWA (at least its FF compatible to compensate for the downside of the weight )
