QUOTE(mhb @ Nov 17 2010, 04:43 PM) Include Tanglewood TW28ce in your list. The price is slightly above RM1k here in KL. Superb playability, nice slim neck, solid top, Fishman pickup, modest look. are there any tanglewood acoustic w/pickup below 1k?? thanks

I'm thinking of Squier Deluxe Stratocaster FMT. Anyone got any comments about this guitar? my budget is 1.5k-1.6k for both guitar and amp.

How much is the one without FMT? :/ Anyway, i heard reviews about squiers, their necks are really thin, so it easy to bend / break it. Isit true? :> Added on November 20, 2010, 4:25 pmBtw, anyone got comment about Cort X6 VPR and Cort X-11? This post has been edited by ClementxD: Nov 20 2010, 04:25 PM

How much? Go call bentley and its not about how thin or watever...its about whether the wood has been cured / dried / treated enough...and of cos the construction. like pool / snooker cues are thin...but mine even after 10yrs or more are still perfectly straight...of cos i only use certain brands that costs more than some guitars... Isit true? :> My Squiers Telecaster Customs have a tough neck, I dont think you can break it easily. Actually that guitar is so good I bought two of them.. but what interesting is that both have very different neck profile, one is thicker than the other. But I like both. I only know of Ibanez these days that have thin necks.

^Yes it'll do. But maybe you need to mention your influences? Because Hard Rock can cover many many things..

Don't bother about the VPR. It's basically an X6 with fake snake skin. Unless you like snake skin. Muaahaha OK bye.

But i play more on blues and John Mayer Ibanez necks are meant to be thinner and wider..eg Wizard If you have a wider fretboard easier for you to solo..fast ones Where else Squiers imitate Stratocasters and you have the C shaped and V shaped necks for Strats..a lot fatter compared to Ibanez You play JM blues go for Strats..I heard that JM has his current signature strat the Black1 at Bentley

I got 1800 for guitar and amp If you are mainly into blues, I would suggest the Strat.. If you want versatility (to be able to play heavy distortion, Metallica style...) get one with the HSS configuration (humbucker in the bridge). Or you can swap out the bridge pickup for a single coil sized humbucker in later on. All being said you need to test them guitars, no use if i recommend something that you dont like aesthetically/feelingwise haha. This post has been edited by quarantined: Nov 20 2010, 09:22 PM
