After my first service, i write a complain thur Tan Chong web site tell them regarding the noisy tire sound by Continental CPC2.

My car has a terrible sound from the rear left side, which will cause the passenger who sitting there a headache or Tinnitus。 Actually, is my father the one who found it and told me.

I mention it to the Service agent and he told me it's a known issue which i'm expected. Because a lot of bros here already mention about the sucky CPC2 tires. The Service agent just say will check the tire pressure  and cant do anything else. That's the reason why i decided to write to TC.

I told them a D-Segment car are meant to be quiet and comfort. But TC made a very bad decision to use CPC2 as their default tires. So, when the car owner use the car to send VIPs, and especially VIPs likes to sit at the rear left side. Then they curse and car owner and Nissan reputation will drop like hell.
Then TC replies and arrange my car for an investigation at the SC with the Conti tires engineers. And after 1 hour plus of investigation, they said the tires were harden and willing to change 4 new tires for me. If i would like to upgrade to Conti CC5, then i will need to topup RM80 for each tire. And if i would like an even better tire from Michelin, i will have to topup RM120++.

And end up, they cannot guaranty that the sound will not be there. Because, the sound at the rear left is partly cause by the air drafting design of the car. Initially, i dont know what the hack is air drafting system.  Then he take out a Teana's air drafting design diagram and show me how the air flows from outside to inside and inside back to outside of our Teana car. And the stupid drafting hole is designed at the rear left side of the car, which that's why we can hear the tire sound louder at that side.

Then i am speechless and take the offer to change a 4 new CPC2 tire FOC and end of case =.=
I didn't really test on the new tire because no one can fetch me after i change the tire at the Conti distributor shop. But i am expecting the same result as before.
So all Teana cars' owner, please dont allow your VIPs to sit at the rear left side of the car when you are going to fetch around.

And for those owners who changed your tires and rims, can you share the sound issue of your car? Is it better if we change to a extremely quiet/expensive tires?

Thank you for all the post in regards to Teana which helped to prepare what is needed. I have Nissan Centra and trading it for Teana. Still un decided to opt for 2.0 or 2.5 but looking for a car that last for a long time (at least till 5 years)

To owners of existing 2.0, do you feel your car is underpowered as it uses Slyphy Engine?

To owners of existing 2.5, does FC bothers you that much?

Hope to get a reply it would really help to decide which model to opt.

Just curious, what grade are you guys using? RON95 or 97?

Yeap i got my Teana (2.5L) on Monday cause SA could not register with JPJ on time. So far,  I do not exceed more than 3-4 RPM when driving and maintain it at 100 - 120 KMph.

My personal view, the car is superb and i am enjoying the drive. Compare to my Sentra (1.6), pickup is excelent and at times I had to be careful when i press the excelator. I do realise the driver compartments is poor but for the love of Teana, i can forgo it.

basically, the rear leg room is spacious and confortable, My wife and friends did comment that the seat is confortable and feeling is owesome . i remember driving thru rain today and did not notice the rain drop sound. Anyhow it's not a problem for me.

the only thing i would need to check is the pastic sound when i lean my left leg on the side of CD player. I notice that the is a small gap and will have some sound when i lean or move my leg away. The workaround I apply is to switch on my radio and I almost can't hear the sound, but it still needs some checking. other than that, i do not see any downside having this car

Probably once I have serviced after 1000 KM of milage, i can comment further when I excelerate faster with my perception on fuel consumption. So far DTE indication is excelent as i drive back and forth from Cheras to Cyberjaya. this i think could be due to my driving within 3-4 RPM.

Guess we are in the same boat. Did you got Nissan SC check on the sounds? so far my Glove compartment is smooth and pulls down slowly. Not sure if the sound may come after couple of months..

i sold my teana. sick and tired of it. too many issues and mostly unresolved. give up better than continuing on.

Teana problems? Mind to share, I have driven mine 2.0 for 4 months and so far so good, no problem and I have clocked almost 17k currently, my best fc is around 800 km for full tank from kl to JB and back to kl again the next day without refill any fuel in the middle. I know a few people also buying both 2.0 or 2.5 having some issues and after sending back to sc for a few times, all the issues have been solved and now seem like they all are quite satisfy with their Teana. I remember one of my friend got her Teana 2.0 and got a lot of problem, heard that the engine isn't responsive, and the air cond also not cool and the rear suspension got weird noise, so at first she is very angry and thinking to sell it because already sent in to the sc for a few times still unable to solve to problems, but now seem like the problem all solved, the rear suspension isn't align correctly and causing the bush make noise, opened the suspension and readjust everything, changed new bush, problem solved, and the other engine and air cond problem, this one TC is a bit slow when solving this problem, they should shoud have known that the Teana ecu is quite complicate because all the engine, air cond and gear box is controlled by the ecu, but TC just keep reset the ecu for her and the problem never solve because the programming inside the ROM is corrupted, they wait until Nissan sent a Japanese engineer to Malaysia and the engineer straight away changed a new ECU and problem solved. Actually the engineer did tell me friend that she needs to wait for a few hours for them to remap the ecu, but my friend refuse cause she already waiting for the car long enough, so no choice they changed a new ecu.

Yup, you can drive from JB to KL and back with a full tank. Say from Scudai toll to Sg Besi toll and back but getting 800km is hard, even if you fill to the brim.

My speed is around 90-120 km/h and the rpm is not more than 2500rpm, which when cruising at 120km/h, my rpm is 2500.

Guys, about the engine pingging / knocking problem that also happened to me, here is my finding, read the link,http://x.nissanhelp.com/forums/murano/13136-vq-engine-ping-knock.html.
It is exactly what I experience where the pingging can be heard during uphill and especially you hit very slow on the pedal.. I plan to bring this to TC to see what can they do to my car.

Need some advice, especially those who had got Daylight LED on your Teana?

I intially had one fixed but later notice that few LED lights burned on the right side, the left seems okay. I went the the shop I originally bought and fixed but since he had no stock, he somehow soldered the burned LED Daylights. althought the colour was not while, but something to get me going while waiting for the stock

After couple of days, left side LED daylight has similar problem (burned few). I was not worried because i planned to visit the shop and hope get complete replacement of both sides. I visited the shop and both of LED daylight was replaced with brand new stock 2 weeks ago.

Now this is where it gets funny. Yesterday night i notice same old problem appear, right side of LED Daylight burned. Now this is confusing as I was phisically present when the replacement of both LED daylight took place 2 weeks ago.

I called up the shop again and he was also puzzled and asked me to drop by for further inspection. Can I check if anyone of you have similar problems LED Daylight burn issue?

Finally received my Teana 2 weeks ago, everything seems fine. I am totally agree with the comment on the V-kool tinting... too bright; should had been darker. Overall its fine with me but need to get them to rectify my rear bumper paint defect, looks like a handing / manufacturing defect. Will be getting them to rectify it.

Looking forward for some upgrading, installed a window door visor today. Now looking forward on the option on installing the audio remote @ steering. Anybody had any idea is it possible to do so?

But just wanna ask something, while driving the car, will you hear the engine sound inside the interior?
