Hey,
This is nice piece of work there smile.gif. Sadly I did not know of anyone (during my time collecting Teana) that can install LED Day light like that, so resorted to normal straight line instead of curvy like yours.

Putting LED daylight does give Teana some appealing look!

Yes, this is the owrk of the Activus in Thailand. I was wondering how much does andrewektai bought this LED and also how he connect this LED to make sure the warranty won't be voided. hmm.gif

yes bro, its from Ativus of Thailand, bought it around RM 500.00, really like the design of it so can't help & it does create a dent in my wallet. ha ha ha.... well as far as i know i did not tap the cabling in the middle of any cables, i tap it from the main distribution point and isolate it with a fuse as protection. on warranty basically i think it should be ok, as i did not perform any major tampering on the electrical system.
*
Wow, that's really a good price and further more it is come with the DRL control box, which only those expensive DRL have. thumbup.gif

Buddies, I came across few Teana at car dealer shops. Condition like new, mileage abt 20k++, selling $110,000, mfg 2010. Pls advise me if it is viable to buy used better thn new one, finally got saving antr $28k++.
After through out few mths c'sideration, I couldn't justify myself to absorb the new Teana's depreciation although I love the car so muchhhh.

Pls advise me with ur valued opinions!

Bro, becareful of the used Teana, because a lot of the used Teana is a flooded unit, do you remember last few months that in KL Jalan Sultan there was having a flash flood and I was servicing my car in Tan Chong PJ the next and I saw got a lot of these unit were towed back to there to repair and usually these units will be sold once repaired. shakehead.gif

yes, came across lots of this good deals I also saw it in mudah, lelong and also in those car trade magazine and website. really never came across my mind that those unit was flash flood unit. good job friend for keeping the kaki well inform.

Bro, I saw these flooded unit in PJ branch when I was servicing my car over there, and I can still remember it was Saturday morning, if not mistaken the flash flood was occured on Thursday night, so Saturday morning i saw damn a lot of unit of Teana covered with mud and dust the whole car towing back to the SC for repair. I also "keipoh" a bit went to ask one of the technician how they repair these flooded car, he told me even after fully repaired, they also can't guarantee it is problem-free in future, usually a lot of problems will arise once the car has been flooded. So advise to all potential used car buyer, please check properly because that flash flood not only flooded the Teana, but also a lof of other cars, including Camry, Accord, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Myvi, Viva, City, Vios, Altis, Civic.... really need to becareful when dealing with used car dealer. Cheers.

hmm its quite subjective.... there tend to have lots of good perks during this period of time... all we can do is just wait and see.

normally i have one solution to all this sort of issue even if you can apply when you going to plan to buy any pre-owned car. copy the car registration number and go to the car service center for some history checking of course you need to know the ppl there la, else i don't think ppl will entertain you. Like my case previously or i should say many years back when i am looking for a pre-owned n16 1.8xgl, they advertised as low mileage and accident free. so i took down the car registration number went to nissan service workshop, and eventually what i found is that the car had clocked more than 300k km (shown and adjusted at the meter to 90k km only) and the accident comes free..... so the lesson is don't trust what you see and listen, always check and re-check!! do your homework

Bro, you are damn right, dealing with those used car dealer is really need to becareful.

That's why I never bought second hand cars because I don't know how to check the car. Therefore, I waited for 8 years with my Waja until I saved enough money to buy a new car. Furthermore, the Waja has started to give all sorts of problems.
*
Yup, when the old car is starting to give problem and you need to spend an average of a few hundreds ringgit to repair it monthly, then it is time to change it because with the money you repair the old car, it is already enough to pay the monthly installment for a new car. thumbup.gif

Agree and you don't know when the problem is going to crop up. For us who uses the car for a living, it has to be in tip top condition, as far as the engine is concerned. The most piss off is for 3 years consecutively, I had problem with the car just on the eve on CNY. No workshop and spare parts available.
*
Yup, luckily you have made a wise choice rclxm9.gif !

Actually the white is quite good, just that time waiting time for white is long and after consulted a few "expert", they told me the white is quite hard to maintain and after a period, the white color will become yellowish a bit, so no choice and I chose the one noneed to wait one, charnodised gold.

Black is quite good looking, just the maintenance also a bit hard, but who care when you like it drool.gif . If you want to do the 1k service before raga, then you have to get it as fast as you can.

Yup.... White quite difficult to maintained..... To avoid the colour became yellowish later we must do some sort of coating.... What i did is that subscribe to a local auto spa and do the polish/waxing/coating every 3 to 6 month depend on the condition of the car..... My local auto spa is using Meguiar's product and Rainaway Nano Coating....
Every Teana is equip with factory fitting V Kool Elite that cost RM2.8k .....
*
Bro, you send your Teana for auto spa? How much did you spend every month just to maintain your Teana body paint work?

I pay RM348.00 for 3 step polishing/wax/coating and getting free one year membership..... After that i do wax and coating every three month for RM98.00 only..... Member got good discount.... Eg wash and vacuum for only RM5.00 only....

Wow. not bad, the price is qute affordable as well, maybe later will go to take a look. rclxms.gif

Btw, would like to ask all the Teana owner regarding to the CVT gearbox, last time when the Sylphy launched last few years, the first batch of the sylphy suffered the gearbox over-heated due to long time driving with high speed, I think should be over 150-160km/h non-stop and when the gearbox reached certain temperature, it will start the protection to cool down the gearbox by reducing the speed of the vehicle, meaning no matter how you press the pedal, the car just won't go over 60km/h speed, does this happen to the Teana as well? And our Teana gearbox need only change the gear fluid @ 80k km, would you follow this guideline or you will demand the Nissan SC to change it for you earlier, for example 40k Km or 50k km?

Dont have the intention to drive fast but this teana is so relax to drive just feel like driving 100kmh.....when see the speedo meter than its actually 160kmh... What to do....after this have to be careful since there will be 800 cameras installed all over Malaysia.....
*
Yeah, you right, before this I used to drive fast, but after getting a few summonses, now I start to obey the rules a bit, but sometimes very hard to control not to exceed 120km/h. rclxub.gif

Yup, I just paid my summon. Last time drive Waja for 8 years never kena speeding maybe because so noisy you kept looking at the speedometer but know before you hear/feel anything, oledi 140km/h.
*
My wife keep scolding me when the poslaju send the the summon, now I also think that not worth to pay this kind of compound anymore, so starting to drive according to the speed limit. sad.gif

I dont think this model can be compared with camry .As in terms of looks and security, camry wins this teanna. This car doesnt look tough if u can tell.
*
Honestly, have you driven the Teana? I have tested your so call Camry for many times, and handling, steering response, riding comfort and refinement, Camry is still below Teana, even Teana have been launched more than a year in Malaysia. The only thing I can see the Toyota has improved on the new Camry is the NVH, now is really comparable to the Teana, other that this, so sorry, can't find any of it, I was wondering if this Camry is made by other manufacturer, will it still can get such sales figure? hmm.gif

Hi guys, i have a nissan teana 2.5l v6 with the push start button to start the engine. Just wanted to ask is there any other way to bypass that just incase the button malfunction or the smartkey spoiled? Are there any backup ways to manually start the engine?

Thanks in advance
*
Hi, I think you can refer to manual about it, or when send in for service, can ask the sc about it because from what I know, when I get my car, I did ask this question and the salesman told me it doesn't have the fail safe, but as far as I know, none of the car with push start button have fail safe thing, such as Sonata, Camry....

yep i asked too, they said it doesnt have it ... just wanted to double confirm

Well my teana couldnt start just now and was finding the manual way to start the engine ...
The dashboard shows Please hit the brake pedal while i already did and its all the way down ... and worst still im inside a shopping mall carpark lol ... finally managed to start the engine after several tries which took up to 30min ... they really shud consider implementing a fail safe feature for teana
*
Ic, but I think it could be other problem rather than the start button, maybe the sensor on the brake can't read the data properly, so causing you to unable to start your car, try to send back your car to ask them to check it for you.

Hi, today I went for test drive of teana 2.5, the seats are comfortable, but I find the ride a bit bumpy, maybe due to high tire pressure.. NVH wise seems the new camry is better according to my wife who sat at the back.

Overall, i think it is quite a value buy with existing promotion. But one thing bothering me is that SA told me Nissan only provide mineral engine oil in the service center which we must send the car at 5k km interval. is it true? Does anyone doing 10k interval here with fully-syn oil? I been practicing 10k service interval for my FD2 since I bought 6 years ago as I think going to the SC for every 5k interval is a waste of time..

I think now camry is a bit of expensive in the overall package. Now I have Passat and Teana in my mind. For those new Teana owners, may I know what's the reason you pick Teana over Passat?
*
Dude, the NVH in the new Camry actualy is comparable to the Teana, but better than Teana is another story, the only cause i found out in between the teana and camry is the Canry using a better tyres, which is Bridgestone (more silent) while Teana is using the lousy one Continental, so this is why your wife will found the Camry is quieter.

So quite hard to show me the right way to plug also...lol

Dude, just look into the place under the steering wheel and you will see a white color socket, that is called OBD2 socket, and this is where the autolock will be connected.
