Not too sure if it is the same model. The tyreman showed me the Yokohama tyre and the model is something..2nd generation. The size is exactly like ours 215x60x16.

IC, maybe the shop quoted you the C. Drive, not Advan db.

Hi, has anyone changed the stock rim to 17" or 18"? I found the stock 16" when going over small hole will cause the car rear side a little bit unstable when at over 120km/h speed. The tire shop told me the stock tires side wall isn't strong enough to prevent the car from shaking when going over small pothole because the Teana is quite a big fellow.

All,
Just to give you heads up, for those who purchase car without any Windscreen warranty (plus Vcool tint insurance) better buy them

I just had my windscreen hit by a stone and the crack extended so long. for those who did not buy Windscreen insurance, the cost of changing is RM 2700 and for 2.5 owners, Vcool Tint will cost at RM 800.

Just thought of sharing
*
I did't purchase the windscreen insure wor, but I bought the Natural disaster insure lar, because you can see nowadays damn a lot of flash flood, so kinda scary.

If not mistaken, I paid around RM800.00 for the Natural disaster insure!

Added on September 5, 2012, 7:38 pmHas anyone thinking to upgrade the Teana tires from 215/60 R16 to 225/60 R16? Heard it will more stable than change to 17" rim 215/55 R17!

All experts here, the CD Player is just a CD player or can play VCD/DVD as well? I got AUX but still wondering is it can function as video player or not...
*
it is only a normal cd player, if want to play DVD, you need to add a DVD driver, same as those in China Teana. The other way to watch movie is through SD card or USB.

hmm..dun think the ori rim can fit in 225 tires..
the current 215 tires ady bulging out liao..

referring to ur previous post..not too sure changing to 17" will solved the swaying effect or not..
a few occassion i do encounter the same experience as urs..hmmm.. hmm.gif
*
Yes, the swaying effect actually is our stock tire wall not strong enough causing this effect, I once driving my friend Teana 2.0 and he changed to 18" tires 245/45 R18 and the car is damn nice to drive, cannot feel any swaying effect even go through potholes at high speed.

But I find the swaying even occurs at very low speeds, both over hump or pot holes.
*
Hmm, yes, at lower speed also will fell the swaying, but very minimal, yesterday i have changed my tires to 17" and use yokohama Advan dB and the result is great, the swaying effect no longer there, and very stable even drive through potholes at high speed.

i do think the OEM conti sidewall is not tat soft..but actually is the thick profile tire that cause the flexing..
i believe with 17"rim and shod it with 50 aspect ratio tire like the 2.5 version in thailand or singapore would be much better.. tongue.gif
btw, can post a pic of ur newly 17" rim? ehehe

Added on September 7, 2012, 4:52 pm
on the straight road is ok..but if u hit the pothole while taking a swipe curve..den u can feel it easily at around 80km/h..
TC always spec undersize rim for their cars.. wink.gif
*
Aspect 50 is a bit too low, I think 55 is much suitable. For the stock tires causing swaying effect, actually base on the tire shop boss, he told me that our stock rim is a bit slim, only 6.5", so when use 215 tire is a bit not suitable, he said if want to minimise the swaying effect, use 205 tire and the swaying will be very minimal, but how true is it I don't know.

Is it really silent and comfort compare to factory fitted CPC 2 ?
*
Yes, it is silent compare to the cpc2 especially when the cpc2 on highway, but don't expect a day and night difference though, because the Teana NVH is already great, so it already filtered most of the noise, but for sure you still can feel the difference!

You can try the KL Auto, but the audio steering control you really need to go back to Tan Chong then.

Seem like the sales for the Teana isn't affected by the launching of all new Camry and also the cheap and fully loaded Kia K5! Right damn a lot of Teana on the road already.

Hi bro,

Thanks for the comments which I sincerely appreciate.

AFAIK and according to my supplier, this particular model that I am carrying should fit the current models in Malaysia just right.

The picture in my thread is actually a sample of how it would look like installed and is not the exact unit that I am selling. My apologies for any misrepresentation or confusion.

Nevertheless, if you are interested we could always meet up and double check to see if it is fitting before closing the deal.

As for bodykits, my apologies bro but currently I am not into the business of bodykits yet... hehe...
*
Hi, then can you please share the pictures of the real DRL you are selling? As far as i know, till now only Thailand got Malaysia's Teana DRL, others like Taiwan, China all actually is carying the facelifted model.

Your DRL is come with a control box which is included the regulator for LED? If not, then your LED will be burned easily.

Hi folks, I am getting a used Teana that does not have the in dash multimedia navi system. I am looking to install one, but don't like the one Tan Chong is offering now, so I was wondering what other brands available out there? Any branded ones like Eclipse, pioneer or alphine for teana? Thanks.
*
Dude, I think only got the Bose one which is OEM for Nissan, but the price is a bit expensive.

Heard that a new model will be out next year. Is it true?
*
Yes, it is true, but surely not Malaysia. Ready to welcome a new Teana which is almost identical to the Nissan Altima in USA, maybe we will get different trims and spec plus slightly different styling. I think Malaysia will have to wait until early 2014 or later to get the all new Teana.
