What about petrol consumption? Does it effect too much? Need to consider this too since i travel at least 200 km perday on this car.....
*
oh.. travel so much? then maybe stick to 17 ok lor.. price of 19in tires is surely more expensive also.. maybe fuel consumption go up 5%? not sure since I changed the tires within 1mth of car purchase not enough data using 16in ori tires.

Thats why i say. The different of 2.0 and 2.5 teana is only ~RM26K. Some dealer (Not from TanChong motor) can even give u unbeatable discount on 2.5 version. If buy teana, better go for 2.5 version which is more value for $$. Same for other Nissan model, buy the highest spec. If you install extra gadgets from TC for your Teana, they will offer you unbelievable throat cutting price.
*
how sure are you other people didn't get a very high discount for their basic model 2L? brows.gif
it's already known the V6 is finicky with fuel (prefers 97) yeah new time, use 95 no problem, later on.. not sure ler.. buy time 26k difference, sell time 26k difference also, the other way.. laugh.gif

To all Nissan Teana owners here in LYN, finally Sachs had launch their Sachs Super Touring shock absorbers for Nissan Teana. Direct imported items and comes with 1 year warranty. Due to the stock availability is very low, restock needs to take few months i think. If you are interested, you can send me a PM or text me at 012-391 1382

Thats strange.... Mine if 150kmh will be at 3.3 k to 3.5k..... At 180kmh its will be at 5.1k to 5.2k.....What about other owner? Care to share the speeed corresponding to rpm....
*
cvt ma.. depending on load all got different rpm.. normal fixed ratio rules dun apply.. biggrin.gif except extreme ends of the ratio.. i.e. at 140kmh, what is your lowest rpm.. that we can know.. biggrin.gif (anyway i'm on 19in so maybe it need to rev abit more..) biggrin.gif

Yours at 140 kmh the rpm a little bit high..... Yours 2.0 or 2.5?
*
as i said earlier.. for cvt, you can only compare how low the rpm can go at what speed..

if there is load, the rpm will raise higher even though speed didn't.

ya...u can only know at cruising speeds, the cvt will be at the lowest ratio.  biggrin.gif

the 2.0, 2.5 have different rpm at different speeds not because of the load, but because of the difference in final gear.
*
i tot the owners were comparing their 2L models?

the 2.0 will have a higher rpm at 110 compared to the 2.5. the final drive is higher, which is crucial for the weaker 2.0 engine as it gives a more responsive drive compared to a lower final gear ratio.
*
yes it should help, but then again this is cvt it takes care of the load quite well.. final drives are more important for fixed ratio gearboxes.. the 2L is pretty fast compared to other 2L in same segment..

the 2.5 not so.. it's got CVT but it's not faster than my 2.4L 5AT akod.. both also 9.5 seconds range.. they should have given the 2.5 a higher ratio (maybe it could be in 8.5seconds range if so!).. maybe they know the VQ drinks alot of petrol so they revise upward for lower ratio.. biggrin.gif based on past experience driving the cefiro with VQ no matter how it just drinks.

in comparison, the 3.5L teana can do 0-100 in 6.2seconds compared to akod 3.5L in 7.5seconds..

i think before you guys attack the bodykit, change the rims first (at least 18, if can 19in).. really make the car look way better.. no point changing bodykit if using standard 16in rims..

also nissan got certain design language, so better choose rims that match those.. reference them to the latest v36 skyline or infiniti range 4 doors..

Change sport rim is my priority wish list... Maybe 17 or the most 18.....anybody know the original weight of  our sport rim/tyres against the upgrading of 17 or 18? I wanna change but dont want pickup or petrol consumption suffers...
*
our gearbox is running CVT so it won't have the feel of obvious lack of power like normal gearbox when using large rims.. obviously milage will hurt slightly.. but not much.. I still can get 550-600 per tank for mix city (RM120) and 700+ per tank for long distance.

One more is the trunk lid. For 2.0L, if you leave your car keys in the trunk and close the lid, it will lock whereas the 2.5L won't. So, be careful.
*
yeah.. need to be careful, can get locked out of the car.. sweat.gif

Yes, the swaying effect actually is our stock tire wall not strong enough causing this effect, I once driving my friend Teana 2.0 and he changed to 18" tires 245/45 R18 and the car is damn nice to drive, cannot feel any swaying effect even go through potholes at high speed.
*
hehe probably true.. i remember driving with my stock tires when bought the car, and thought what a scary ride when going into the corners..
anyway using 245/35 19s now.. can take those medium speed corners very well..
