was looking forward to compare the Teana 2.5V6 with the Mazda6 2.5 and Hyundai Sonata 2.4 at first... But when I did, was a little bit underwhelmed.

Was wondering why they made it look sporty, throw in a V6 engine... and just stopped there. Interior all beige, finishing all kayu, rims only 16"..

And not even has build in gps , DVD and so on ..

Facelifted Teana launched in China already. Just a matter of time before it reaches Malaysia. Thats why i always advise not to straightaway purchase a new launch model from Nissan. Cuz they will either launch a facelift soon or start offering big discounts to boost sales. Thats why Nissan resale value is lower than Toyota and Honda.

The blogpost after that compares teana, accord and camry. nice read

p/s
It is for the china market. They get their teana few years back, so it's time for facelift for that market. For ours, it just arrived. Wouldn't expect to have any facelift anytime coon. Even the sylphy has no facelift yet, and yes China already got their sylphy facelift in 2010 or 2009. Different market altogether dude.

Paultan's comparison today on 3 car - teana, camry, accord

teana 2.5 gets their thumbs up overall thumbup.gif

simple dashboard, bright interior, v6, all is nice for me also.

but would be great to have the front lights like the china one...

Yes. But u must remember that the Teana is a new model while the Camry is already 5 years old and due for a replacement end of the year or early next year.

got my teana recently. gonna send inside worksyop to mod for some reasonable sound system include changing the crap 6 disc player and a stupid display that doesnt display anything useful in orange.

parking sensors are stupid so i switched that off, traction control doesnt really work but will try on it again, rear sun shade comes down when its dark even when i don't want it to, compass on rear view mirror is stupid and annoying, cant find anyone selling strut bar for this car, auto mode on air conditioning is always set at full blast which is stupid, so that doesnt really work either, vkool tint is stupid coz its not dark enough, my car came late to me, and the sales agent was stupid as well (kota damansara branch), 16" rims are pathetic, memory seats but not memory mirrors i wonder why, power on the 2.5 is not sufficient but i stretched it at 6.5k rpm and my mileage on the car is 120km.
apart from that all is mostly well. the hindrance and annoyance of all, this will be my 1st nissan.....and my last.

Looks like someone didn't do their research and homework before buying a car. What happened? Bought it blindly just because of some word of mouth opinion?

What a way to spend RM170k+.

Might as well try to flog it off now for minimal loss if you are not happy with it.

Are you really sure you bought a Teana or are you a salesperson from a competitor? Dont get offended with my question but some of the issues you brought up clearly indicates someone who not only did not do any research but also did not go for a test drive.

And the fact that you run down a salesperson from the Kota Damansara branch could indicate a disgruntled customer but surely not one who might have purchased a Teana.

Plus many of your statements are actually just statements with no backing. Reverse sensor stupid? Traction control doesnt work? Vkool stupid? Kinda childish statements for someone who can afford to purchase a RM 170K car rite?

Anyway just my 2 cents worth.

Seem like some of your claims are false claim, don't simply come here and give out false claim. YOU DON'T EVEN OWN THIS CAR or YOU ARE COMAPRING THIS CAR WITH BMW, MERCEDES OR AUDI, WHICH IS DOUBLE OR TRIPLE UP THE TEANA PRICE!!!

I agree on some of the items that you probably wont discover during a test drive:
- parking sensor
- rear sunshade
- auto mode for a/c

I feel memory seats are a useless feature if it dont pair up with side mirror/rearview mirro adjustment, but how many cars got that?

Compass in rearview mirror remind me of pajero. Its annoying to be there, its distracting during normal use.

Tinting/rims are subjective, most ppl change it on their own anyways. But sucks that you have to pay for it in the first place.

Power not enough, I cannot say, I only 1.5 wira.

Its ok man, I'll take it off you for 130K. best price.

If I'm not mistake, the rear sunshade can be adjusted manually, auto mode AC sure will full blow if the temperature hasn't reach the level he/she adjusted, every car also the same, BMW/Mercedes/Audi... even the home air-con has the same character, unless you manually override the fan speed. Parking sensor, that's why Nissan make a switch to let the owner to switch it off. My boss new E250 also same, when a motorcycle, car over even a person cross the road, if too near the car, it will make noise, so my boss switch it off all the time, unless when parking, this is the parking sensor real purpose.

Sometimes a customer expectation on some features is that it would work "to my expectations".

For instance, if I never use automode aircon before, I'd also be annoy if its on full blast for long periods to cool the car down to target temperature. I ever experience this on some cars before, but once you are used to it, well, it becomes non-issue.

Yes, i agree some items can be turn off, but then the issue is, i paid for the feature, turning it off is kind of a waste...

Its like those camera which have intelligent focus, but it will forever hunt around to focus when the subject is there smack in the middle, you'd expect it to do waht it suppose to do right?

Parking sensor is an annoyance when it simply beep because someone walk by, but its something to make us aware of things happening in our blindspots. I suggest the user to get used to it.

auto Rear sunshade to me is unnecessary. to me i think its useful if it comes down when i park the car to cut down the heat a bit. but to have it come down suka hati, is quite annoying. again, something you paid for but turn off.
