If I am not mistaken during the 50 or 60k service interval they do the air con services

Authorized service centre always more expensive, compare to non-authorized workshop. That applies to all brands.

As for owning a Nissan car experience, it was the brand which I visited the service center more frequent with 3 months. The technical knowledge in Jalan Kemajuan Service Centre is a big question mark.

Currently my car has 3 issues, i.e. (i) Foot brake, (ii) Noise (chik chik sound) at the area of fan belt/pulley tensioner and (iii) Vibration while reached 80 km/h.

Issue (i) had been after 3 complaints. And issue (iii) happened one month ago and the time it happened, I went to service centre straight away but the amazing thing was that one of the service advisor on duty said he couldn't test my car except the tester who already gone home. I was pissed off and straight away called my sales person whom is extremely helpful. He contacted the other service advisor and he came to test the car and diagnosed it with the computer. There was no fault found at that time. So I made an appointment for a complete "check-up" including issue (ii). Leave the car for 2 days, and came out that they couldn't find the cause of the vibration, they just did the engine tuning and ask to monitor. This is the best part, the service advisor said the chik chik sound was due the fan belt, I asked if change the fan belt will solve the sound, and the reply is "Yes". So, changed the fan belt and the sound still there. Make another appointment this sunday, and see what they are going to tell me now.

Will update after my visit this sunday.

The car itself is good, but 2.0 is kind of under power.
The more I looked at the 9th Gen Accord, the more I like. Unfortunately I am going to lose big amount of money by trading off the teana to get the accord.

Cut throat price for the AC compressor and HID ballast.
By the way, can any 2.5 teana J32 owner share some picture of the HID ballast placement under the hood?

I was right. Too many experiences. Like the wheel bearing that I changed 3 months ago.
SC quoted RM1,280.00 after haggling. Fixed outside at RM450.00 for the spare parts and RM50.00 for the labour.
And the rubber bush, SC quoted RM300.00>. Fixed outside at RM55.00. The bush is the same as Sentra and one of the Proton or Perodua models.
I got my aircon fixed outside at RM1,030.00 for the compressor and RM360.00 for the condenser. Labour was RM350.00 which I found a bit high but never mind. Word of caution: If you replace the compressor, you should change the condenser as well.

Where is the vibration noise from? Is it the steering at the horn?
So for issue (iii) did they charge you for the fan belt?

In fact I went to Honda showroom and checkout the Accord 9th Gen, after my friend booked one a few days ago.
He was contemplating between the new Teana and Accord. Test drive both a few times and finally took the Accord.

Nissan give crap package. Very bare. Compared to the Accord, it comes with a host of accessories....and the most important is the 5 years warranty. And their maintenance service fees are not as expensive as Nissan. In fact, very cheap. The Nissan salesman offered him free upgrade as/when the new facelift/add-ons are available. They are so desperate. No wonder this Teana model is not selling well.

The problem is the trade in value for my 2011 Teana is only RM84-85k.

Here are my conclusion based on our recent sharings:
i.Nissan Malaysia aka TC, lack of technical knowledge for its products and unreasonable pricing;
ii. We are stucked with our ride (at least to me) due to the low trade in value;

As for my issues, i have to pay for the fan belt, RM 203(part and labour), which pissed me off that the sound still there. TC claimed that's wear and tear therefore no warranty claim.

They could not find the root cause the car vibration. Mine was the front part of the car vibrate, it felt like no power to pull the car. Just have to monitor it constantly.

But at least look at the bright side, we are not as screwed as VW owners. Ha........

pricing and technical knowledge wise, I can actually say that for most of the Malaysia SCs, they or we as the customer are facing the same issues regardless of the car brand. The mindset is Authorized or Official SC = Genuine or premium.

After the expiry of warranty period, it is better to service at outside workshop. Cheaper parts price and labour. You can stand right next to the mechanic and observe how he attends to your car. They too will be more careful and attentive. Compare to sc who will just ask you to leave your car for a few days and they may only start to attend to your car when you're about to come and collect.

True frankly I won't go to sc if not because of the warranty and furthermore I have bought the extended gold warranty. Anyway for my problem I m referring to different sc. Waiting for their call now. I have talk to the branch manager there.

It's almost similar to the normal warranty just that it's undertaken by tokio marine insurance, need to follow the normal service schedule, must be done by TCES. Cost me 1k plus. However some grey area when claiming ie my light issue. Hopefully the other sc branch manager could
help.

Further questions:
1. only applicable for Tokie Marine Insurance or any Insurance Provider as long as the renewal is done with TC?
2. What is the charges for the warranty extension and for how long?
