Hi nokh88,

It's the 3rd button from the left. I have since figured out its the alarm button. After you lock the car, the red light will blink intermittently to indicate the alarm is on. thumbup.gif

As for the navi, yea, just look for a tab called "End route" or something like that and the navi guide and voice would cease. Phew!

My mileage is now about 60K km. Called up SC and was informed that CVT oil (as well as spark plugs) only need to be changed at 80K km. Was told CVT oil would be about Rm500+. Just as what bro MYM123 has said, 1 bottle of CVT oil for RM280. So 2 bottles would be RM560.

Still can't use USB to play music. But I found out my SD card also have a lot of loaded music files (apart from the navi files). Got to read the manual again s to how to play the music from various folders in the SD card.

My 2.5 came with TC installed body kit. Heard some metal noise at the left rear door side on the way back from KLIA. Bang the said door when reached home but couldn't hear anything. But found out the side body kit came loose near the end of the left rear door as the double sided tape has worn out. Reattach some 3M double sided tape onto it and so far the noise has not recur rclxms.gif

Really enjoy the comfort and quietness of the car. But as a comparison with my previous E60, Teana still lose out in terms of insulation from tyre, wind and road noise. My E60 was shod with the ContiPremiumContact 55 series tyres while the Teana is using Bridegestone GR100 60 series tyres. But Teana still lose out to E60 in terms of noise insulation. Not to mention the CVT noise (sometime not sure whether its the engine or CVT noise). But getting use to it. Beside the smoothness of the gear change more than compensate for the CVT noise. I am not the boy racer type. Learning to adjust the right foot when pressing the accelerator and the CVT noise can be minimised to a great extent.

Finally managed to use the Music function in TCAT multimedia to listen to songs copied to the SD card. Wow so many of them now I don't have to listen to FM anymore, or do I? haha smile.gif

1. Not sure about that.... But my guess could be alarm is active....
2.rarely using the navigator
3. I dont have any problem linked to my Note 3 and play music from my device...
4. Not keeping any water bottlesalthough its a good practice for emergency purpose....

Recently my car already reached 80k km..... Battery kong..... Change to maintanance free battery for Rm320.00 .... Thailand made brand GOLD....
After that service for 80k km as well.....using normal mineral engine oil, CVT gear oil, change the brake oil and service it as well, service the aircond ( gas top up, change the aircond filter), ECU tuning.... The labor cost me abt RM300 and the parts was RM1,000.00 with a total cost of RM1,363.00 inclusive tax..... The most expensive parts is CVT oil which is RM280.00 per bottles of 4 liter..... Have to bought two bottles.... 2.0 gearbox is using 5 liter of CVT gearbox oil.... Which left me for 3 liters extra that can be used for the next 80k km services.....

Now i feel the gearbox like a new car feel.... Not slightest jerk can be felt...... thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif

Hi mym123, any update on your CVT after the change of transmission oil? Apart from the jerk free ride, does it help to reduce the CVT whining or droning noise? Was the oil very dirty when taken out at 80k km?

Hey great to hear that. I'm now tempted to change the cvt oil when my mileage reach 70K instead of 80K. Still have a long way to go as my present mileage is only 61K.

When you guys purchased your teana new, is it standard 3 years warranty? This question is pertinent to me because my car still have another 2 months to go before 3 years expire

Any bros here have change the bixenon bulb before? I went to normal accessories shop and they quoted me around 650++ they says it's something wrong with the pcb's (I was like dumbfounded), I hve check with the service center and they quoted me 680 (through phone) may need to go there to confirm again. For a freaking bulb to cost that much was unbelievable imo

If it is just a Bi Xenon bulb, you can always buy from outside namely Philips or PIAA. Last I checked was about the price ranging from RM200-RM300 if not mistaken.

Sad news. Today my air con broke down.
I drove straight to Nissan Centre and after checking they said it is the compressor. They quoted 3k plus.

The mileage is only 93,000km and 40 months old.

A few months ago the wheel bearing spoilt.

Nissan's quality is not good.

93K mileage is not very low though. Ever service your car's air cond during this 40months?
You might want to try to hunt for 2nd hand compressor as it might cost you way below 1k I suppose.

If the price quoted by TCSC is inclusive of ballast set with bulbs, then you should go for that.
Outside selling HID set (Philips- RM600-900) with bulbs.

But the thing to concern here is that if you were to change the aftermarket ballast, can they fit into your car?

Finally a good accessories shop help me, he look at the bulb and find no problem so he suggested me to switch the bulb from the other side to check whether it's the bulb or other problem and found that not the bulb problem but possibly wiring problem. He ask me to go back to service center to recheck wiring. The price quoted originally by tcsc was only for the bulb.

If I am not mistaken during the 50 or 60k service interval they do the air con services

Anyway I think u should try lowyatguy option to search for 2 hand compressor.

Sorry to heard that.

The price quote by SC definitely is higher and I don't trust their workmanship too.

If you living around PJ or Tmn Tun KL, you may want to look for my regular air-con (Ah Seng or Alan) in Shell Petrol Station, TTDI KL. Reasonable price and good workmanship.

Yes, I have been sending my car to SC and follow the maintenance schedule. I have emailed to TCEAS Customer Service but I am not hopeful for their reply.

I have asked outside shop and they quoted RM1.5k.
They also said it may not be the compressor and asked me to send to them for checking.
I also heard the air con service at Nissan Centre is not good.

I have recently complained about the noise at the area of fan belt and tensioner pulley. Let the SC checked more than 3 times. At the end, they said "might" be the fan belt and I buy it. After changed the fan belt, the noise still there. Moreover, I have to pay for the fan belt RM 200 (Labour & part) I left my car for 2 days for them to check and end up the same. Very upset now. FYI, my car is 2 years old with only 26k kms millage. Went to seek 2nd opinion and said it was the pulley issue, but SC kept denied and said nothing wrong and did not hear the noise.

I will not let them get away with this until they fixed it.

Yup, Nissan Service is very bad.

I have a Livina X-gear which also have many problems.
The steering is heavy when turning left but light when turning right.
The manager of the centre is a Taiwanese. I bumped into him there and asked him to test drive.
He reluctantly test drove and told me can't comment because he is not familiar with this model!!
If I were his boss, I would fire him. How can you tell the customer like this.
Then the assistant test a few times and finally he changed the motor but problem still there.
I also checked with theie storekeeper and they told me there was such item issued!!

Apparently, Nissan is very stingy in replacing parts. This is an order from the top management.

I am seriously thinking of changing to Honda Accord.
Their service is cheaper and comes with a 5 years warranty but got to check this out.
