Does Maxis let me outbuy the phone from them without any contract?.or there's still need a contract if i want to buy the phone only from them..

Do read up the Financial section on Credit Cards though, as a good intention, to make you think about spending too much based on existing income, with minimal/none savings.

Since you are tied up with loans/credits owed, do you think it is necessary to spend ~2k on a phone ? Is it a must-have ? or perhaps to use other phones at lesser budget ?

Hey guys! I got a question. If I take the iValue 2 plan for 24 months and get the iPhone 4 16GB, I pay RM990 for the phone and monthly RM155. What about the first 4 months? Is it RM620/month or RM620/5months? And does the RM620 include monthly bill?

Update, just got call from Taipan Mep. My 16gb is here. Booked on Mon so it only took 4 days. Cool.

Before i get 'lectured' again for opening new posts by the mods its better that I ask the mods 1st. Can I open a new poll to survey on why people havent got iPhone4 yet. I believe there is no poll on this

1) pay RM990+620 = RM1610 when u buy

then every month (for first 5month) will receive bill

155-(620/5)= RM31

month 6 = pay RM155 as normal

No, Maxis no longer accepts outright purchases, at least at the few that I have checked (Pavilion, KLCC, Times Square). Will only be available for outright purchase next year.

However I have found that epi-centers or machine stores sell them outright, try those. They have less stock though. And don't believe any Maxis guy telling you that these traders are no longer going to sell iphones any more, they are LYING THROUGH THEIR TEETH hoping you'll get a contract (assume they have commission?).

I am currently on a contract for an HTC desire with 19 months left. if I get an unlocked iPhone 4, can I keep my current call and data plans?

you are entitled to use your data+call plan for any phones even the iPhone 4, they wont know which phone you are using also.

i almost got my iphone 4 today!
i just coming bak from Garden Maxis Centre, there hav tons of stock for pre-booker like me but i refuse to obtain the 1 tat reserved for me and wat i got is a maxis centre manager SHOUT at me " I DUN WAN TO SELL THE IPHONE 4 TO U "

after i make my payment of purchasing the iphone 4 i go to activate my phone and i check the phone for scratches, and i found tat the left side and right side of the phone hav many minors scratches like 1 to 2 mm long so i demand for a replacement.
after i got my replacement, another customer bside me he found tat both iphone he buying having yellowish screen compare to the demo unit, so i quickly look through mine the scratch 1 and the replacement

i FOUND tat my replacement's screen was extremely yellowish compare to the demo and oso my scratched unit.

so i ask for another units from the manager ( the guys who serve me since begining) the so-called manager say i m not entitle for anymore replacement, my choice is only pick either phone i hav on the table or he will do a full refund for me.

so i said to him i waited for so long blah blah blah blah etcs. Suddenly another customer from no where appear bhind me and asked him something den he suddenly look at me and SHOUT " I DUN WAN TO SELL THE IPHONE FOR U" and everyone there is looking at me, i was like WTF??!?! i got shouted in a sudden and he dun even care about my decision just throw me a VOID sale credit card reciept.

this is the "good" services i got from maxis! nice 1 i love it......
