yerp..in mind planning to get 32gb with ivalue1 ..btw if buy outright how about the warranty? 1year?2year? and how about purchase from Apple or Machine..the warranty is same or not?1 year? 2year?
*
dont you even bother to read the first page? cmon man this is just the second p[age and you are so lazy to read but want to be spoonfed. Since when did apple sell iPhones at their online store, and it's obvious that Machines,Switch,Epicentre,Macstudio are Maxis Exclusive partners for iPhones since iPhone 3G, why is this surprising still? Of ourse you get one year for outright why would they give you 2 years?

I am currently on a contract for an HTC desire with 19 months left. if I get an unlocked iPhone 4, can I keep my current call and data plans?
*
you are entitled to use your data+call plan for any phones even the iPhone 4, they wont know which phone you are using also.

The Machines staffs and Managers will be helping out with the upcoming roadshow along with Maxis staff at klcc, so since stocks would be aplenty you guys should go there and get it from the roadshow rather than queuing up at the maxis centers very early in the morning and get sent back home with nothing.

go several location maxis & digi both no stock cannot pre-book also.
is maxis road show next week hv stock n allow buy new iphone4 via contract ? but worry after work go no more stock... doh.gif

btw, i read maxis installment plan if i sign 24 months with plan 1, any one know why i need pay $400 coz no matter how i calculate i cant get this amount  sweat.gif
•iValue 1 – RM400 for 24 months contract, RM200 for 12 months contract

*
that is prepayment or advance payment which will be credited equally over the first 5 months of contract as in if you take the 1 year plan, you'll be charged upfront RM200 which amounts a rebate of RM40 for the next 5 months and you have to pay RM60 for your commitment then RM100, the same calculations works for the 24 months plan also.

What BS are you talking about? iPhone 4G since when did we have 4G networks in Malaysia or widely available throughout the world?

They do have 4G networks released on some regions/countries,please google before flaming me blush.gif and just an extra information HTC Evo 4G is 4G network supported. You might be correct if you said we don't have 4G network in Malaysia YET

And yes,its Iphone 4G and not Iphone 4 White.....
*
Read my post properly, my argument is simple is 4G widely available overseas and in Malaysia? i asked you if its widely available and you replied me by saying the exact words bolded above,if 4G is widely available as 3G then Apple would adopt it as of now i doubt they'd incorporate a new and limited technology into their devices take USB3.0 for example none of apple lines of computers has this for the sole reason that it isnt a widely used format yet. Even the Chips dealing with the format would be expensive. Do not compare HTC as they make multiple devices for differnet needs Apple makes one-size-fits-all phone, so it'll go for the most widely avilable infrastructures and this include 3G and EDGE or WIFI for wireless connectivity not forgetting Bluetooth

nimrod323,I never thought of having an argument with you even from the start and I do not want to proceed this argument any further. Is true that 4G is not widely available now,but it is exist ,and I don't have any comment on Apple technology eg USB 3.0 etc...
After all,I'm just giving you prove that there's a 4G network supported phone out in the market now and no intention of comparing with Iphone, that's why I said "Just an extra information"
And time will prove everything, its useless of having an argument of something which're uncertain.
The reason why I posted the post of saying there might be Iphone 4g just to share what I heard from my friends,so cheers. smile.gif
*
That is my point of contention from the very beginning, why bother putting out a rumour that was told by a friend when it's fairly easy to see that a new format will not be embraced as soon as it is out but rather when it is widely available just as what i have said to you earlier and so did the commenters above me. Time will tell but it wont be as soon as next year that is for sure. cheers.

What seyuripa says might be true. I read before some article about leaked details on 2010-2011 ipods, iphone 5, bumper 2 + ipad mini. They claimed that their information is from some 'highly reliable source'. According to their source, Apple is pushing up the release date of the fifth-generation iPhone to early 2011 (as soon as January) because of the antenna issues with the iPhone 4. "We reiterate: it’s hard to believe. But as with so many seemingly far-fetched early reports, it’s not impossible."

If that's true, as the iPhone 5 will be release on Jan 2011, that's some kinda unbelievable. To trust or not to trust, it's a question. Let's see what will happen in that time =D

i think we have OT-ed to much from the topic at hand, this should be directed to the iPhone news section.

QUOTE(dozza @ Oct 17 2010, 12:06 AM)
I thought I'd just let some of you know that I picked up a 32gb one from Machines Mid Valley earlier today. So the deal was they called me last night but I wasnt able to make it there on time before closing and they told me they dont know whether they can hold it or not. So I was very disappointed. This morning, woke up and forgotten bout the iphone and they called me at 130 and I missed the call and called back at 230 and they said they had my name on the waiting list but they only had 16gb in stock. I told them that they got it wrong because I wanted a 32gb and not 16gb. They rang me back 10 mins later to tell me the phone is there with my name on it! Made it there within the hour and picked it up!!

And I only placed myself on the list at Gardens Machine store on Tuesday but somehow they  transferred the list to MV so the people at MV contacted me!! And I did buy it outright.
Hope someone has some luck with Machines!
*
they are basically the same stores, switch staffs in between, sometimes if one store no stock they get it for the other. but the thing with resellers is that they have limited stocks better luck at the roadshows i guess.

this im not sure as the roadshow is jointly organised by machines, they might have the stocks at their HQ or Maxis HQ, normally these are kept for teh roadshows and not for reselling in their stores.

Is the iPhone going to be cheaper in regards to the recent budget announcement?
*
nope, as to be fair for the current customers who have just renewed and got the iphone contracts, and to be honest the tax is like 3-4% of the phone's cost at most also it doesnt affect the RRP of the phone, and again these contracted phones are already heavily subsidized based on the contract you take and even if the iphone was RM4K people would buy in droves this what people used to pay in lowyat 4 years back for the first iphone.

Until it is fully charged la i guess since they are using lithium ion batteries, the older nikel cadminium needed to be charged X hours for the first time.

guys seriously though this is an ongoing six day event. THEY WILL HAVE STOCKS, quit speculating about whether or not you will get it or not, they will have to replenish the stocks at least 5 times a day for the roadshow if not they surely rugi because they have paid the KLCC management at least 6 figures to use the concourse area.

QUOTE(NoN@me @ Oct 19 2010, 03:19 PM)
Maxis are so damn bad in warranty ... They sold an faulty set which have dust inside the camera and cause 2 blackspot in photo... And when I asked for warranty after 4 days of purchase, they told me they will check for this problem from HQ and will call me after 2days... If the problem is cause by camera itself they will make a replacement for me... But after 1 week, still no respond from them, so I decide to find them again... When I see a kind mobile trainer there, he said he will check for me and probably will make a replacement for me if my phone is a faulty set, and he asked me to wait till either afternoon( yesterday's afternoon) or till 2day... And this morning when I went there, the mobile trainer asked another customer service to serve me....and u know what? THEY WANNA SEND MY IPHONE TO DONO WHERE TO
FIX AND WILL SEND BAK TO ME THE MOST 2 WEEKS.... But hey! They sold me a faulty set but refused to make a replacement for me and want me to wait for so long and end up wanna send for fix for the most 2 weeks time sommore? And why earlier on they keep on saying replace replace replace and end just for fix....? Really disappointed with them!
*
Well in your case, you should check everything on the spot when you get your phone, i have personally reminded people here to check everything from the glass, headphone jack to camera everything even the gyroscope must be checked before leaving if not its quite hard for one to one exchange, at least when you do these checks infront of them, they cannot deny there is a problem, i personally spent 20 minutes inspecting my phone in front of two maxis personnels.

I am in a dilema. My iPhone 4 will be delivered to my office - I signed up in a corporate roadshow and that's how it will be delivered. While I can inspect it before signing off the form, I don't think I can boot the phone and try the camera/phone function without a micro sim! What can I do? Buy a rm10 prepaid micro sim and try?
*
just bring to a maxis center and ask a few personells to witness your unboxing and test everything there itself.
