which one is btter ?

im loyal maxis user then..if hve contract 10years also i don't mind..

1) buy outright
2) buy using the contract

seems like using contract more cheaper? or is it same or i miscalculating somewhere

Check your own calls/sms + data usage monthly. If you use below RM100, then go for iValue1 package (comes with free 1GB data). If you average rm140+, then go for iValue2 RM155 (free 2GB data), etc.

Try to practise own limitation on data usage. I have wifi at office and home. For heavy intense download, like installing apps, youtube, etc, I only use wifi. So far after 2.5 weeks of usage, I only use up ~30MB of my data plan. But through wifi, it must have been several GB already.

In my case, I opt for 24-months contract, as it has 24-months warranty. Also, the device cost is cheaper by rm500 between 12 and 24 months. Billing wise, fully claimable from company due to work purpose blush.gif

Therefore, in my case, why buy outright, when I can get subsidised from contract ? wink.gif

yerp..in mind planning to get 32gb with ivalue1 ..btw if buy outright how about the warranty? 1year?2year? and how about purchase from Apple or Machine..the warranty is same or not?1 year? 2year?
*
If buy outright, will be 12-months warranty.
Also, if buy outright, it will be cheaper to buy in SG, provided you/friends travel down frequently, in case need to claim warranty issues.

16GB = SGD888 = RM2,087
32GB = SGD1088 = RM2,557

Rate: SGD1 = MYR2.35

RRP in Ms'ia:
16GB = RM2,290
32GB = RM2,690

so today got my luck but only got 32gb
so from going back with nothing better i get something

so rite now
i sell it back and tend to buy new maxis 16gb from seller here in lynn

yess rm300 matter lol

No problem to me, but rather your own financial management.
Do read up the Financial section on Credit Cards though, as a good intention, to make you think about spending too much based on existing income, with minimal/none savings.

Since you are tied up with loans/credits owed, do you think it is necessary to spend ~2k on a phone ? Is it a must-have ? or perhaps to use other phones at lesser budget ?

Anyway, it's your choice, and if you decide to get it, welcome to the club.

Look at the Recommended iTunes AppStore Games, some games are hundreds of MB in size...
- Modern Combat : 200MB+
- Prince of persia : 400-550MB+
- Map (Papago) : 200+
- Map (tomTom) : 200+

Seems like 16GB can fill up quite fast ? Not yet counting music/videos/pictures. hmm.gif

Otherwise, just delete the games after finish playing.

It's RM25 per micro-sim. However, I got it free during Maxis launch.

That's what I thought, however I was charged RM50/each sim card replacement fee as per stated on my itemised bills...

We requested for 3 microsims.. and it costed us RM50 x 3 = RM150 !!!!!!!!  vmad.gif

shocking.gif Go check Maxis website, print it out. Then goto Maxis. If Maxis don't resolve it, then goto Consumer Tribunal.

when i bought my iPhone last week, there's no more microsim card at that moment in the store, but the staffs there told me no worries, they can just cut my existing sim card for me.. no need to buy wan... then they took my sim card and use a staple kind of device, and *kreekkk* it became a microsim... shocking.gif
*
LOL, it's the same during Maxis pre-launch at the Gardens. Since it is free, I would prefer a new micro-SIM rather than cut it.

There is another customer sitting next to me, *kreekkk* the staple half-way only. doh.gif Change new staple, but I'm not sure the guy's sim card is still in working order or not (or have data inside it)

I got blue tint also when capturing a A3/A4 white sheet of paper in brightly lit room, if set to >80% screen brightness. sad.gif

The thing is, viewing in camera mode = blue doh.gif
Captured = no blue rclxub.gif
Captured with HDR = blue doh.gif

Overseas roaming is chargeable for everything. SMS, calls, data-plan.
