2 mil licences i heard sold. Not phones.  icon_idea.gif

It's definitely diff, heck better than WinMo 6.5, but they are not marketing the thing good enuf.
Heck, even released the thing half-baked (no copy paste and multitasking).

Unless they innovate, they are as good as dead IMO.
*
Yeah. Without copy and paste, they are lousier than the Symbian.

C5-03 huh? It's a new model oh~ icon_idea.gif
Thanks for the recommendation, but i would like to ask something:
This Nokia C5-03 is better than Nokia 5800XM and Nokia C6-00? hmm.gif
I think it's not, so i would like to ask wat is the pros and cons when comparing these 3 phone? sweat.gif
Thanks for the advice~ notworthy.gif
*
Nokia 5800 have the best speaker among all 3 models.

Nokia C6-00 have physical keyboard.

Nokia C5-03 have no flash or auto focus. Nokia C6 have flash and auto focus, but without Carl Zeiss lens. Nokia 5800 have auto focus, flash and Carl Zeiss lens, but lower pixel.

Nokia C6 does not come with the free Ovi map navigation i think. (please correct me if i am wrong.)

wanna ask...between htc hd mini and n97 mini,,which one will u choose?
*
I choose N97 mini because larger screen. But what is your priority getting a phone?

QUOTE(sil3ntHunt3r @ Feb 13 2011, 11:58 PM)
If u want less error suring typing, physical qwerty it is.
If your friend like to try something new, then touch screen qwerty it is, but might face difficulties at first (more error while typing). May overcome after several time.. smile.gif
*
I prefer touchscreen virtual QWERTY keyboard for the resistive touchscreen.

Well, your requirement of "MP3 player" means you want a good speaker for music? Most of the phone have loudspeakers already.

if the phone can support playback of ape or flac music files is better but not a must.
*
Umm, if you do not mind about the camera quality very much and don't mind of using the outdated, but usable Symbian; why not take a look at the Nokia C5-03 thread? You can ask the TS for the phone experience before buying.

For this kind of investment, just be patient to survey around. icon_rolleyes.gif

my priority is gps, internet surfing and qwerty actually...but when is see in youtube,,quite impress with htc hd mini internet surfing and multi touch function including with the graphic..

For the Windows Mobile, I am not very sure what application is available for the Navigation, but for the N97 mini there is a famous Ovi Maps with free Navigation license for lifetime.

For the better Internet surfing experience in Symbian, try out the Opera Mobile.

thx for helping me.

camera quality have 5.0 megapixel is enough for me.
using what os is not a problem for me, as long as it is usable.(Symbian still provide update or technical support?)

is there any other choice which support microSD up to 32GB? notworthy.gif
and i need internet surfing too...
*
Hmm, hard to say about that. The issue is why need update in the first place. Sometimes, I have been asking this myself. Update for better stuff, yes.

Sometime, after update suffer new bugs or issue then I am not happy with it.

OS only provide update rather than support.

Well, it does not support till 32 GB for the micro SD MC. But, do you really need that much?

For web surfing, there are some issues with it. If you want a better web surfing experience with flash, Symbian is not a good choice.

But like i said, just take your time to scout first. Don't rush to buy handphones or being baited with good offers.

Swype!!!

It exists for that reason!!!

Swype does not impress me. Android phone default browser can support flash content right?

Hi guys...
can recommend me a phone:

1. Brand - any
2. Budget - rm600 (2nd hand also can)
3. Specs - got big hand/fingers...soo dont want qwerty keyboard
            - Like iphone 3gs but my budget not allow me to buy this
            - Want to take pictures...no need very high spec but just good photo will do
4. Type/Size. - doesnt matter at the moment...probably Candybar
Thanks in advance
*
Nokia C5-00 have physically fairly big keypad for candybar phone. However, the camera is not that good.

First hand original should not cost more than RM550.

Otherwise, Nokia 5800 2nd hand should be able to fit into your budget with ease.

Android is on the rise now, so it is expensive as manufacturers wanted to make profit.

*
For handphones, it is better to buy locally. Otherwise, it is not worth of getting it repair in case anything happen.

Courier fees, SIRIM fees and other charges that is not foreseen.

@alexdark

Just take it as an opinion only. You have not make the final decision yet. Just slowly scout which choice is the best for you.

Please remember nothing is 100% prefect. Just make sure that you overcome the short comings.

Happy Surveying. icon_rolleyes.gif

What is the main purpose for you to get a new phone?

QUOTE(alexdark @ Feb 15 2011, 06:50 PM)
so even after warranty, they still offer repairing service just need to pay only?

if i buy from lowyat forum(garage sales), then after warranty everything gone?
*
If i am not mistaken, user still have to pay for the hardware except for the manufacturing defect despite phone is still under warranty.

For Samsung, it is hard to say. But mostly, Nokia and SE users no need to worry no 1 to repair their phone if anything goes wrong.

Spare parts is a major issue, but finding the person who knows how to repair it is not easy as well.

then what should I do?

does samsung wave 2 ( bada os) support flash?

Not sure about it. Just slowly survey first. Have you considered about the Xperia X10?

Just make sure that you can get your phone fixed in case anything happen. Try to avoid brand like the motorola, Samsung and HTC for now as not many people know how to service these phones.

After you managed to collect the money, just come back here and observe the market condition again unless you wanted to upgrade your phone within these few months' time. icon_rolleyes.gif

if avoid motorola, samsung and HTC, then left acer liquid metal ?
most of nokia is symbian, so don't want...

once i decided my target, won't change already till I buy the phone...
and the phone will use at least 5 years laugh.gif

just wondering samsung wave 2 support flash or not, if support then i think i will take samsung wave 2 hmm.gif
*
Acer lagi teruk since it only produce very very few smartphone and i can't even recalled about it when typing.

The repair guy also like the software developer. They learn what is the most likely profitable repairing skills. Nokia used to be the top leader in smartphone, so most of them learn skills to repair smartphone.

Symbian is outdated, but it does not mean that it cannot be used. Android is only a trend only for me. Samsung Wave is not worth for me to buy IMO as i like to use application in my phone and i wonder how many developer would spend time to develop applications for the Bada OS since its market share is so little. If not many application is available for a particular OS, why not just use a normal phone?

By the way, IMO Samsung is just testing the market 2nd round only. Why Xperia X10 is not the cup of your tea?
