Been loyal to nokia with n82 for 3 years I think.

It's sad/glad to hear that nokia finally ditching its symbian in favor of windows OS(I would prefer them to go Android though) .

Drooling over my friend's iphone4.

but that's the different league of price tag.

Currently looking into either android or window phone 7 OS phone.

wanna ask is there any problem with wp7? like huge data usage etc?

budget around RM12xx.

MeeGo must survive!!!

Back to your question:

WP7, imo lacks customization, hackability and lack good apps (very few as a matter of fact)

So i would recommend Android:

Up your budget to 1.4k and you'll have plenty to choose from. nod.gif
You're at the border between low end and high-end there.

My recommendation:
Acer Liquid Metal (1.3k)
Samsung Captivate (1.38k)
HTC Desire (1.4k)

For now, the WP7 is still a new OS, but not many people using it. Last time, i heard that about 1.5million handphones powered by WP7 were sold.

Who knows if the Nokia and Microsoft alliance might bring the WP7 to the new heights? It is hard to say now despite i am quite skeptical about such success for now.

@Terence573,

We cannot make the best choice at all times. For now, Android also amaze me, but i am still not very sure which hardware manufacturer to invest in.

Among those 3 option, I would say Samsung Captivate is the best choice IMO.

2 mil licences i heard sold. Not phones. icon_idea.gif

It's definitely diff, heck better than WinMo 6.5, but they are not marketing the thing good enuf.
Heck, even released the thing half-baked (no copy paste and multitasking).

Unless they innovate, they are as good as dead IMO.

Yeah. Without copy and paste, they are lousier than the Symbian.

Head over to Android forums. Got recommendation thread there.

IMO, those two phones should suit your needs. (qwerty keyboard)

Nokia C5-03 original? It is said that it is around RM670, but if your hunting skills is good, maybe you can get a better price.

Nokia 5800 have the best speaker among all 3 models.

Nokia C6-00 have physical keyboard.

Nokia C5-03 have no flash or auto focus. Nokia C6 have flash and auto focus, but without Carl Zeiss lens. Nokia 5800 have auto focus, flash and Carl Zeiss lens, but lower pixel.

Nokia C6 does not come with the free Ovi map navigation i think. (please correct me if i am wrong.)

If u want less error suring typing, physical qwerty it is.
If your friend like to try something new, then touch screen qwerty it is, but might face difficulties at first (more error while typing). May overcome after several time.. smile.gif

want to buy a phone but doesn't know which phone is better, cause there is too much model and options.

my budget is around RM 1k or below.
need:

1. wifi
2. bluetooth
3. touch screen
4. qwerty keys(virtual?)
5. 5.0 megapixel camera
6. got mini usb port, and 3.5mm audio port
7. mp3 player
8. support internet streaming
9. light and moderate small

not required to support many games, me seldom play phone games.

any suggestion for me? with price pls?

thx. notworthy.gif
