Which camera is better?
HTC Desire or Samsung Wave 2?
I find camera's and video capability really important.
But I really like the Desire since it was phone of the year and got really high ratings from
every website or reviewer, so it must be GOOD!

The Wave has a "Scratch-resistant oleophobic surface".
Now that is really cool!!
But I read that the screen catch match SuperAmoled.
But is the Super Clear LCD(Wave 2) better than Desire's screen?

How is Bada? It is nothing compared to Android right?
Now, which is better? Symbian3 or Bada?
If Symbian is better, then I can better just go for Nokia N8.

In terms of jsut the phone, can Desire or Wave 2 topple Iphone 3gs?
My mom is using iPhone 3gs and it's really nice.
It's sooo fast and smooth. But somehow I don't want an iPhone. Weird me.

1) HTC Desire camera/video camera is pretty sucky...remember, HTC=Horrible Terrible Camera...LOL. Wave 2 has superior camera and HD recording (720p) that is really good. Very clear and no lag unlike HTC Desire.

2) Wave 2 SLCD is better than HTC Desire no doubt, but HTC Desire screen is no slouch either. Wave 2 wins a bit here.

3) UI, HTC Sense + Android ownz all. iOS also cannot fight, much less BADA.

Basically, if you want a good camera/video recording. Wave 2 is excellent. N8 will probably have best camera, but Symbian sucks and video recording wise, i think Wave 2 is still better at 30fps.

Basically, if you want to configure a lot of things, BADA is not for you. If you want good hardware (camera, screen and build) with easy to use, no fancy stuff, Wave 2 is good. Also...SamsungApps very hard to find good free stuff...all the good stuff needs to pay $$$.

If you are more interested in surfing web, getting news feed, facebook/twitter feed and tons of smartphone apps, HTC Desire is much better.

PS: I use a HTC Desire and just got a Wave 2 for my wife.

Have you considered about Nokia X6?

Dint consider any Phone yet.. But my gf favorite phOne is k800i.. Dono why lol

If like that, you should choose stylish phone for her. She still prefer SE only?

Hey guys, a friend of mine is struggling between SE X8 and Nokia X6. One concern is the touchscreen and the UI, which phone is more responsive and less laggy? Actually he liked the X8 Android even though its stuck at 2.1 but *quite* disliked the lack of autofocus of X8.

Not sure about that 1. Let other sifu recommend you lo.


If he prefers more on the UI, i suggest Android. But i do not think X8 is a wise choice. What about X10?

If budget does not allow, stick with the Nokia X6.

X10 is kinda over budget given that it was stuck at 2.1 as well. Correct me if I am wrong, but you do recommend X6 over X8?

well, if your friend's budget fit X10, better get the X10 rather than X8. it is a great smartphone. 1GHz, 4" screen, 8mp+AF+hd record. android 2.1 this can be fixed by using custom ROM though

SE X8 vs nk X6: UI, X8's android wins. camera, X6's carl zeiss+AF wins. X10 wins both no AF is not major though.. just preventing the camera to be used in macro mode. photo taken from 2m upwards have no problems. but photo quality of X6 is better. if your friends want better quality, X6. but since the priority of your friend's is UI, better get the android,X8.

A phone for my mom who only know how to use it to make and receive call. She requests big word and number.

Now the trend is touch screen so I think I would like to buy her any touch screen with easy function and with big number and words for her to see. Of course cant miss out the loud ring tone (she is half deaf).

She prefer Nokia. May I know which brand or which phone is suitable for her? Oh.. forget to mentioned about robust.... she dont want a fragile one... haha

(5) touch screen (not touch screen also can)

Any good phone meet these 6 requirements? Can you recommend the phone and state the price there? I think I may make my budget around RM800. Of course it is better that I can get a phone with the least price yet meeting these 6 requirements. Thank you.

As far as i am concerned, i would go for the Samsung smartphone if i want to use the Android OS because i heard that the SE does not always provide software update for its smartphone.

Nokia X6 has superior camera than the X8,but in terms of UI Android wins.


If you like the 12MP camera,go for Nokia N8.

I never heard that any Nokia phone is designed with the shock proof ability despite their are quite solid in terms of hardware (excluding camera part).

Just get a pouch to reduce the shock if the user is a careless guy/gal who always drop their handphone.

Since wifi is not a mandatory, have you considered about Nokia C5?

serious about camera? if yes, N8. if u are heavy gamers+apps everyday, iphone.. (iphone got better UI, but not much customization allowed as on your previous 5800)
