haha how green can computing could be? even with no lead in parts, v r still creating junks that ppl will throw out of their house in another 5~10yrs anyway... hmm.gif im thinking of green house tho, solar panels w/batteries to charge for off grid power(lower electricity bill n perhaps start my own EV project in future when my solar project really happens hehe), green roof(plants on roof to lower house heat), create better in house air circulation and indoor water cooler wink.gif that would b a great home to live in when u dont have to worry much about bills n heat, even noise!

anyone here having this problem?
i using ubuntu 8.04 (kernel .21)
if i multitasking it will always not respond.
mean when i open firefox, terminal with ping, helix player.
when i want to shutdown / reboot the whole pc will not respond.then i have to reset my pc.
any way i can use like task manager in windows to reboot?

ps.it cant open terminal when the whole pc is not respond.
*
you can always try ATL+CTRL+backspace to end the session nod.gif

QUOTE(fastcx @ Oct 29 2008, 01:39 PM)
pls update your system, not just kernel, i believe latest isnt .21.. for safe reboot, press n hold alt+print screen, follow by R + E + I + S + U + B(press them each individually to kill process n unmount disk, n reboot safely)
*
sounds complicated like some PS2 cheatcode sweat.gif

Press L1, Circle, Triangle, L1, L1, Square, L2, Up, Down, Left, L1, L2, Triangle, Square, Square, R2, R1, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, R3. rclxub.gif

i think my notebook is having heat management issues.

i can run tons of stuff but once firefox runs flash.
it cannot last more than 12hours.
i leave it on, goto sleep, wake up it turned off by itself.

windows with ie7 will continue to work, though, i've a feeling it is due to windows dumb nature that it is overheating the hardware but not knowing it.

im afraid tats not the case, in windows, flash run with little processor effort. but in linux n osx, flash can use over 50% of cpu power, thus ur cpu need to run at higher speed when flash is used.
